I only registered at Linkedin in order to check out, how it worked. That title was meant as a joke :- ))

It seems more and more people use it professionally, so I may have to update my profile.

Would it be a good idea to add my career at SBRC you think?

ChrisR, just to finish the very brief chat... You're absolutely right: "lapping cars responsibility", but there's no harm in being accommodating Wink.
I just had loads of Jag pace to come straight past & felt squeezed out (actually ended up with inside wheels on the grass) & lost momentum/safety.... which knackered me for the corner which meant I lost a place a couple of turns later because Geoffers had been able to get that much closer...
I've seen the replay & you didn't squeeze over half as much as it felt in car (& obviously you also has Alex in close proximity) & my reactions just took me on the grass. Plus you were obviously well aware of being lapped, because you knew exactly where & what happened! laugh thumbup1 So I take back my comment of "good driving but please try to be aware of lapping drivers" Smiley

Reults and Replay Posted
Turned out nice  Grin loads of fun, I don't know how Bob and others found that pace in the Tina but hats  off
Went off a couple of times, but eventually caught back up to MJ who considerately went off to let me through  Roll Eyes

Good race, really enjoyed it. Had either (& sometimes both) a mini or a Jag in close proximity from start to finish sweatdrop, I just wish the Jags tyres weren't made of wet bog roll Roll Eyes
Always love battles between Handling (evil) Vs Power (saintly) cars & Cadwell always produces classics Cool

Favourite bit of race was multiple laps in the 1st half, racing side-by-side with Federico Zecchin & his mini, was gutted to half spin myself under full power exiting the 2nd last bend into his oncoming car, sorry Sad. Obviously I waited & let him past, then watched him disappear into the distance as I wasn't holding him up through the turns any longer. Such a great car balance tonight Matt. Good work fella.

I had a good first race with you guys, unfortunately since it was my 2nd ever race on P&G id never driven the Tina or Cadwell before.. so i was literally greener than the grass on my lawn.

I found some decent pace after the 3 leaders passed me.. I managed to find a 1'43.4 (or would of done if i hadn't of screwed the final corner up)

Look forward to the next event.

Despite finishing a lowly 14th I felt I was getting some pace out of the Cortina and it was my mistakes that cost me a chance of finishing a few places higher.

I was really enjoying the tinny Tina up to about half race distance, and felt that I could perhaps cause some of the slower Jags some discomfort  Roll Eyes There was no defence against the Jags greater speed on the straights but I sure as hell made that Ford handling work on the tighter sections lol.  What I really needed was a grappling hook to snag the bumper of the Jag in front and get towed down the straights!!! Mabel and Arnold have been given the task of developing such a weapon at the Soggies secretlavatory laboratory in deepest Somerset, where the water is still about 2 metres deep.

I was tail end charlie to a 4 (or 5) way battle, and hoping to be able to capitalise on any mistakes ahead, but got caught out at the bottom of the hill when 2 cars tangled ahead and I applied just a touch too much lock to avoid them. That spun me around and left me facing the wrong way and about 6 secs adrift. Classic mistake then was to push too hard and compound the errors  Undecided I even managed a barrell roll with one and half twists at one point but landed back on the wheels, so carried on.

The second half of the race was lonely and it was only the aliens lapping me with 2 laps to go that broke the solitude.

Grin Grin   Had much fun in the Cortina tonight only spoiled by one off the whole race.  Followed the Jags most of the race gaining in the twistys and loosing on the straights.  It made for a very enjoyable race.    Apologies to Phspok, I went for bit of track that wasn't mine on the last corner. An excellent combo thanks all.  Bob

Reading Legzy's comment on Chris's driving I wonder. is it really necessary to be that grumpy taztaz towards a new driver oops?
I had a vision of "How to train a puppy on the leash" not much of a warm welcome I'd say.

Suppose I am all wrong and that wasn't Legzy's intention at all. Still, we are doing this for fun , aren't we?

Cheers, Dan
