(4) Some tracks in P&G have no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. If so, you may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Roller skates in the Park. These don't get out much and were requested, so they get a day to play.

Great track. All that needs changing is the date and it should be Mini 970, I believe  Grin

Hello guys, this evening with Otto and Federico we tried a little the three cars and, surprisingly, we realized that probably the Mini will be the car to beat  Shocked
The other two are not bad, though fun to drive, each in its own way  Wink
I think this will be a very entertaining and hard-fought race for all participants  and certainly until the last meter do not know who wins the race  sweatdrop
I hope to find many drivers on the track  thumbup2

I wish to lodge a formal complaint with the race steward!!

The 3.8 Jaguar which I have been given to practice with has more in common with the gas BBQ in my garden than a racing car!

It does not steer, it cooks anything round to a crisp within 2 minutes and it smells of old shoe leather when hot! The only thing in its favour is the colour and I am reasonably confident that is not helping my lap times ( although unlike the cars other attributes, at least it is not slowing me down either! Undecided ).

It is rather ironic because a friend of mine has 99% completed a 3.4 Jag for racing in the Historic Saloons series this year. If it is anything like this barge without a tiller, I had better ask him what music he would like at his funeral!!! scared

After I had extricated myself from the dense foliage of the British countryside, I tried the mini.......... Shocked Shocked Talk about "the other end of the spectrum!" It seems to be on rails around the corners, but zero grunt on the straight.

So the only other option was the Ford box................... ahem.!!..confession time cough ! cough!! mumble mumble.........
I was amazed when I posted a 1:41.9 lap at my first attempt, as no doubt you guys are too!  and I left the practice session feeling quite chuffed.  I returned an hour or so later and thought a sub 1:40 should be a real possibility even on race fuel.   But, after one or two small technical changes in the garage and the setup, it dropped to about 1:48. Maybe using the Ford Cortina GT for the second session instead of the Lotus Cortina might have some influence on the times, but who can tell ?? Roll Eyes

Tried all 3, I quite like the Jag  euro  Ive driven one of these around Mallory park and it did feel like steering a bus with its big steering wheel and comfy armchair front seats  Grin
The mini is on rails but its gutless, the Cortina also felt pretty gutless tbh. The Jags shortcoming is its brakes, it should run right over any little minis in front of it that can brake late  Tongue
Only managed 1:51's with full race fuel and only did a handful of laps in each.

Hopefully the cars will be more fun to race than they are practise with

Love this track though  Cool

I think that this will be an ugly mini spec race.

It has a couple of seconds advantage over the other two.

I disagree. I get identical times in the Mini and the Cortina with the Jag 1.5 secs off the pace, when it hasn't blown up!
