I will be hurtling down the M74/M6 this evening from Glasgow, I "should" get back for the race
but in case I am not there in time to restart before Qual, which he have been doing for these KO events
Tony is going to restart for practice at 19:20. "If" I get back before 20:20 I will restart for qual
if not, just run the race as a "Normal" event. I might jump in towards the end of qual.

I may be wrong, since the very first part of my replay is missing, but I looked the rest of it through, and I can't see Geoffers in the pit at any time.

Hope I'm wrong Geoffers, but I couldn't help noticing that you passed me and Legzy while we were in pit after lap 13, and somehow we never got back those 30+ seconds, as far as I can see.

Am I wrong ?

I never would have thought a podium was possible with me in a Porka no, anywhere ever!!! Shocked

Well what can I say...
  • Not a bad Oldie team points tally tonight eh Clive Kiss (well done Ed)
  • You ever need any tips for driving a Porka MJ, you just come to your old mate Legzy Wink

p.s. That's bye bye to another dominating Porka week (only about 5 more to go till we get to the proper cars) Grin
p.p.s. Congrats to the proper drivers who did well tonight through skill rather than luck like me clown

That race gave me the hump. I just don't see how I can be running 5th in close combat with Stig and Legzy for 3rd,4th & 5th and a 10-20 second lead over the rest of the pack at mid race distance,  have a perfectly straight forward pit stop at same time as Stig and 1 lap later than legz, and come out 9th and 20 secs behind the other two  Huh  taz
Do I enter some kind of time warp when I pit   Angry

And surely if we are going to have a sprint race using 2x tyre wear, the rule should be everyone has to pit for a tyre change? I think allowing 1L of fuel is a gimmick. No race series on the planet allows that as a stop whereas a tyre stop is common.
Just my two cents...

Anyway, qually went well, race start went even better for a change, I actually made up some places! First half of race was great fun battling Frex whilst chasing guys ahead in top 6.  I was shocked to see an 18 second gap behind me after about 6 laps or so Shocked
Second half was deadly dull as I rejoined from my stop with nobody to fight and the quick boys who had thrown it off early in the race caught and breezed past.

Congrats to the very rapid podium....and Legzy  Grin

I think Geoffers went into the pit in lap 1, as we had a small bump in T2 after the start which spun him around. He took his stop right away me thinks.

Geoffers, nothing i could do about that spin. Sat on your inside at T2, no throttle and your car came back to my side quite hard. Just clipped my nose sadly. I did myself no favour by forgetting to call the pit crew and had to do a drive through before my real stop. Well it was a nice track to drive anyways.

Well since the first part of your replay is missing you wouldn't have spotted that I pitted at the end of lap 1!

Terribly sorry to have brought it up then Geoffers. Pretty impressive that you could keep your car on the track with tyres having been used for so long :-))

No worries Postal, it made it an interesting race. Thanks for waiting.

I took the hard tyres & planned the first lap pitstop with a top-up of fuel then had great fun working my way towards the front. Got up to 3rd place after everyone had pitted only a short distance behind Otto & Ed, this became 2nd when Otto spun but I then did the same later in the lap & dropped to 4th. By now the tyres had pretty well given up & I pushed a bit too hard on a few corners & ran wide which allowed Federico to pass on lap 22, so I finished 5th.

Congrats to Otto, Ed & Legzy.  clap clap clap

Like MJ that was a race of two halves for me - great fun in the first part, particularly the early laps battling with MJ and Legzy. And then when the x2 tyre wear kicked in the rear end became very loose, which if anything was even more fun!

P6 at the stops with the 3 cars in front not too far ahead. After the stop though they had all disappeared up the road (even MJ was now 15 seconds ahead), and the second half was very lonely.

Again, couldn't restart the car initially after the stop, but even without this i would have lost loads of time - me and pitstops just don't get on..  Roll Eyes

Congrats podium and apologies to the car that was on my outside at T1 (WGKid) - i just did not see you there at all, sorry for the contact.

The race begins immediately with a misunderstanding with my teammates and then touch Federico, assisted by Otto, goes into a spin and out on the sand  stupid
After a few laps into battle with Clive, mistake and I push him too ... sorry Clive was not the right night  no
However, wait Clive back on track and resume second to last.
Slowly climb some positions always dressed from my mistakes  blink
I pit on lap 12 and trying to push back time to recover.
I can make a few passes and a couple of laps from the end I combine another mess  oops and I see that Clive pass me by showing the middle finger  punk LOL!

Congratulations to all, see you next race  thumbup1
