But lots of spinning in the red zone without faulty behaviour, so nobody to blame.

DC starting out of the pits got his lost lap back and finished 5th.

Back to the UK and an historic circuit...Aintree.

UKGPL has used this track for F2's before,  but the 69x's will be a different and novel challenge around here. The long straight will favour the more powerful cars but the lights will be able to show their superior car control around the twisty sections to regain lost ground.......the final few corners could prove decisive  Roll Eyes.

A single Shift R is allowed but no SnG is required.

Well,  maybe the free-chassis choice can help re-address the talent balance Smiley

Couldn't quite match my previous best in the F2 lola;  so maybe I should have taken that instead.
Again, hadn't driven 69 round here until qually;  but I find they are basically same as the F2 really.

Admittedly, I could have done with putting race fuel in my lucky setup [not that it worked round Solitude!];  and as a result missed the flag;  so started from the pitlane.

I was probably unfortunate with the subsequent placing,  because the server then placed me over the start-line in the pitlane.  I think that is why I don't remember being lapped...  otherwise, I think I'd have ended up in 5th as I finished between DR & GT,  although I guess race distance was then a few yards short.  ho hum.

Still, was good to get fired-up when it was all to do from the start & following a couple of offs.
There was even some close car-car racing too;  all mostly good fun!

Cheers chaps,
Dave.

I would like to say that the F2 race was fun (thanks AC for the head's up re my car selection, keep forgetting that ****), but ridiculous warp/lag/stutter from either MJ or myself put me off my game enough that it I lost motivation. Yes, it's not MJ's fault, it's the fault of whomever happens to be in the way when he re-appears (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=12236.0).

69 race started ok, but engine didn't even last 1/2 lap. From there, trying to hard, bunch of small damages from here and there, and meh cyas next week.

Yes MJ was warping during the races.

It was two of my best Friday's races.
Especially with 69X, I was second just after Axel during the first laps and was slowly closing the gap with his car ...until Evil join us and overtake me, the Mark did the same.
By the way, it was two fun races !

Yes he does, due to a distance of 20 000 KM to the server + Deans 6 000 KM Roll Eyes
Who wants to set the limits?

(IMO Bernies warping was unacceptable in the Kyalami AM race...)
I have had my problems in other races too, but an online racer has to learn to handle it Wink
Watching Bernies race for verifying the lost laps took a while, but showed how the following Dave Curtis brilliantly managed to survive this hairy situation!!!

My races

F2s was a lucky win when Mark had a spin in the last turn   Shocked

69X was exiting all the time.
Being a little exhausted from the F2 race, it was way more challenging to keep the concentration up with a close following David and later the final battle with Clive gave me an extra dose of adrenaline  Grin
