I am planning on getting season 20 kicked off in the next few weeks.

I had originally planned to have the first race on the 15th June but that is Father's day and the final day of the real life LeMans 24hr . I suspect it may be better in terms of driver attendance if I waited until the week after which would be 22nd June. Is that OK with everyone or should I just start the season on the 15th?

For season 20 I was thinking about LMP for the upper sprint and GT2 for the lower sprint and perhaps using different tracks for the Two championships so that we can use tracks that suit the cars rather than using the same track for upper and lower races, as we do currently.

I was also planning a special event using LeMans for the 8th June. I think it would be more interesting to use a class of car for this event that will not be used in season 20. My original plan was to use GT1s.

What do you think drivers?

I will attend all events, if I can. Number of drivers is the issue here, so I think we should whatever is needed to have as much as we can.  Smiley

I will definitely do the GT2s but I never got on with the LMPs last time we tried them. I'll give it a go but no promises, sorry.

I like the idea of a special on the 15th just in case I can't make it and would miss the 1st race Wink

not to hijack your thread but being as you guys love racing modern GT cars (as do I) aren't you interested in getting Assetto Corsa? Its really very good you know. With only 4 or 5 of you regularly attending the races your missing out on a good grid to race against. There are already more of us turning up for test races in AC than your getting for regular league races. Just saying... Undecided

I'd also like to think that AC will be the future for the modern GT's, but for now it seems to have some way to go before we could use it for an official league.

I'm looking forward to giving GTR2 another season. (alongside some AC test races)

AC is not working on my PC atm (stencil errors, DirectX issue). Seems like I'm ahead of time with my hardware...  Cheesy  Drivers not doing their best just yet. So, GTR2 for now.
Was going to be iR fan but it was not the thing I'm looking for.  no

That'll teach you to buy a computer from NASA  Wink Have you posted your problems on the AC forum as this does seem strange?

I've started a series of AC fun races to give us the chance to taste AC here without having to go searching out other sites/leagues. I'd just like to say that it's not my intention to undermine GTR2 by doing this....the reason I started racing here in 2009 was for GTR2. In its current state AC is nowhere near ready to replace GTR2 (imo) but I'm sure if/when it gets to that stage it will become obvious to all.

I wish you good racing for season 20  Cool

H@L, just to follow up my suggestion from Sunday... I'd be keen to see the GTR2 F1 '88 mod given another run out.

We are all very aware that it is high time GTR2 is replaced. wheelchair

I am checking out the AC threads from time to time and AC looks like the contender at the moment. It just need a little more time.

Would any other drivers be interested in F1-88 mod for season 20?

We could add a 3rd championship for it. I am thinking 1988 track versions as well.
