Second and hopefully final official skin pack testing session for UKGTR Endurance Season 2. Although targetted for the Endurance season anyone may take part in this test session. The practice session is deliberately quite long so we can test things out prior to a quick race. We will announce here, and probably elsewhere, where the revised and updated pack can be downloaded from soon.

Date: Wednesday 15th Febuary

Practice 1: 8:00pm (45 mins)
Qual 2: 8:45pm (18 mins)
Warmup: 9:03pm (2 mins)
Race: 9:05pm (25 mins)

Track: Brno
Weather: Dry practice probably Monsoon race

Server: SimRacing B Server

Rich has finished the updated car pack; you can download it from http://www.ukgtr.org/downloads/carpack_UE2.zip (I've renamed the old one).

The numbering and LOD issues should all be fixed; I won't have an opportunity to check it before tonight's race (or join in).

Could those who are not registered for Endurance S2 please give those who are priority when joining tonight's race. Thanks.

Old cars deleted and the new pack installed on the server, which is up if anyone feels the need to check a skin or two Wink

If you're using GTRmanager I suggest uninstalling the old one before putting the new ZIP into the addons directory. I think there are only a couple of cars which don't directly overwrite existing ones though (the two shown as being wrong in this post) so you could just delete those two by hand.

Best to uninstall completely with GTRManager. Make sure the previous carpack is still in addon folder then uninstall with GTRManager. Now delete carpack from addon folder and then paste in new carpack to addon folder and then install.

When the carpack that is installed does not have the right zip in addon folder it doesn't uninstall correctly I think. If uninstalling previous carpack occurs without warning from GTRManager then it will be uninstalled , but if there's warnings then you'll have to double check all the files have been removed.

If there are warnings when uninstalling it's either because the relevant carpack was removed from addon folder or files have been tampered with in GTR directory. Not sure think it's the first one..

I'm going to try and get on tonight.   I'm only reserve, but I'd like to check that I don't clash with anyone with the car pack.  If a few people can;t make it with other commitments as above hopefully it won't be a problem.

Track: Brno
Weather: Dry practice probably Monsoon race

Couldn't see an option for different weather for different sessions on the dedi server, so practise & qual will also be heavy rain.

We were planning on running dry in practice and then restarting the server and forwarding it onto the relevant session to change the weather.  Smiley
No matter, sure the ducks will love it. I will pop in for 1 minute before having to go.

Skins worked, and more importantly, looked excellent.  Good work by all involved.

Got to try and learn how to make a skin before next time.

Enjoy the race.
P.S might have my mini server running on saturday night, not switched it on for a while now Undecided
