Moderator's Report

Phew!

Server replay time: 0h00m58s

Piero over rotates into T1 and corrects left. This brings him close to Dean who takes avoiding action. Dean thought that Piero had bounced off the wall - he hadn't.

Server replay time: 0h02m03s

Ronnie goes wide at Abbey and loses drive. He moves back to the racing line but is unaware of Dean who has had the better exit. He squeezes Dean who has to take to the grass.

Dean does well to avoid an incident. He caught Ronnie napping - literally...

Server replay time: 0h02m49s

Clive has a wobble at Chapel and Piero nips up the inside. As Clive recovers Piero slides wide into him. Piero has come form a long way back and is relying on Clive to make room. It is up to the overtaking driver to ensure that they can maintain a tight enough line to ensure that they do not hit the overtaken car.

This may seem similar to Brands Hatch but at the entrance to the corner here Piero is well behind.

Server replay time: 0h08m50s

Piero has a problem at Beckets and Roberto Teso slows. Ronnie senses a chance and moves across but cuts across Deans path. Dean brakes to avoid contact. Drivers should, in general, avoid changing station in a braking zone.

Server replay time: 0h10m13s

Piero takes his Pit Stop after a reset but does not stop - he never goes under 12mph. Drivers must ensure that they come to a full stop (0 mph) when taking a stop.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 0h18m17s

Dean is surprised how close Roberto looks in F10 view. Overhead shows there was at least half a car length when Roberto pulls out.

Moderator's Report

Dean sets a record for reports and gives me a headache! Not too much in the Red Zone though.

Server replay time: 0h00m56s

Marco gets a good drive on Cookie and then eases across to take a wider line into T1. He brakes earlier than Cookie expects and Cookie clips his rear wheel.

Cookie should have been a bit more cautious here, particularly when the cars are in such close proximity at T1. A lack of caution at T1 on L1 can be disastrous.

  • Cookie (Axel Cookie)penalty — Simple Rear End Shunt - More caution L1 required — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 0h00m58s

Piero over rotates into T1 and corrects left. This brings him close to Dean who takes avoiding action. Dean thought that Piero had bounced off the wall - he hadn't.

Server replay time: 0h02m49s

Clive has a wobble at Chapel and Piero nips up the inside. As Clive recovers Piero slides wide into him. Clive does nothing wrong here but being on the outside he could almost predict he will come off worse.

Server replay time: 0h18m17s

Dean is surprised how close Roberto looks in F10 view. Overhead shows there was at least half a car length when Roberto pulls out.

ONE reset is allowed but the Shift R must be followed by a Stop & Go in the pit lane within TWO laps. If you Reset on the last lap a 15 second time penalty will be awarded. Drivers must complete 50% of the race distance to score.

Well, managed to get into qually session late (luckily still a slot available!)  then had some wheel issues,  so couple of disconnect/reconnects to try to get that under control.

At the start of the race,  sat on the grid - but eerily all alone;  with a view of pretty much the start/finish straight as I was so far back.
DSL had dropped out between end of qually & start of race.

Shame, was looking forward to potentially some fun tussles at the back.

Nevermind.  On with the washing machine then...

GL all!

Dave.

Well that was good fun. Annoyed I had to reset after a crash, but it only cost me one place in the end. The top 3 finishers were too fast for me tonight.

I have already looked at the stats on replay, and I think many drivers tonight did a little too much exploration of the track limits. There is certainly one person I'd have looged a complaint against, had they finished ahead of me. I had 23/26 on track laps. One of those fails I was upside down, another I was avoiding Ronnie after he had an incident, not sure about the other one.

Overall, looks like a P3 for me in the A championship. Nice way to end the season, unlike the 66s last week..

Thanks to all, esp the mods.

Quali was very good, even with hardly a tow, comfortably got pole. Plan was to break the draft early in the race with a car that has less topspeed than the MS7, and that happened, Lap 1 and 2 were very good!

Was leading Roberto 11s, until I hit the inside wall in T1, and wrecked hard! I was too loose on turn in, after tires got hotter, and lost focus. Just could stay in front of RT, but car was damaged and got even looser on turn in. Every turn was a challenge, and couldn't run really fast laps. Concentrated to keep RT at bay and out of the draft, but almost threw the win away in the last lap...

Rarely have had such a tough race concerning handling, and was really annoyed about my crash earlier in the race, but happy with the win Smiley

Happy to be able to race, and keeping the championship alive after last race' debacle! Bring on Brands Hatch!

It was looking like a close race from the quali times.

I was feeling good on cold tyres and was able to hassle Roberto for the first few laps until a warp contact at T3 fired me off and I was dropped to about 12th I think. Luckily no damage done and I did not need a reset or SnG. So back onto the track and burn rubber......................

The rest of the race was 99% on the limit and 1% over the limit at times as I picked up places until I was within sight of Dean with 2 laps to go and only needed a wobble from him to sniff a podium. Then my latency bars shot up and I waited for the inevitable.....disco  Sad

A bit miffed to have worked so hard only to be beaten by technology beyone my control!!

Marco, you've been in UKGPL long enough to know that this has always been the case..... It is based on what the real rules were in the 60s.....

Was a great race to watch the replay, especially behind me  Tongue All the fights guaranteed that I could break away...weird thing again mechanical report doesn't give me damage. I think it isn't bulletproof, experienced it before, I was sure having damage as the car wanted to wreck with the least steering input turning in...

Thanks to Dave Curtis for letting me by in my pole lap. Very good waving me by, did you see me wave back?  Grin Also well done podium and finishers. Sorry to hear Clive, what a bad luck you are having this season...
