As a test for the last two Season 0-C races, we are going to allow the GT40 entrance into the 76 class racing. It will initially get a 3.0 multiplier on the points scoring so a nice encouragement to take it. The idea is that we want to see if it's up to racing with the 76 cars as it's clearly a pain in the GTC65 classes and from the lap times it looks like it could be a suitable car for the cars in the 3.0 multiplier section of the 76 cars. The multiplier can be changed afterwards if it's too much.

Funny, we were talking about that yesterday, and I think it matches the speed of the BMW, so a 2x seems better I think.

Yeah my GT40 times do seem quite good compared to the 76 cars too, so we may well drop lower the multiplier for it. We can do that afterwards so that Gizmo doesn't have to change things too much for now I guess and when we have more data from these 2 races.

GT-40 is harder to drive though. I looked on GTLRank and there were only a handful of GT40 times quicker than my best 914 time. It will be interesting to see how it pans out. Had I been racing I might have been tempted, but not sure if I only got a 2x multiplier.

Olla,

I know from racing it a bit on public servers, where unfortunately everyone seems to feel the need to always take 76 class cars, that the GT40 can be quite competitive, hehe. Finished 3rd 3 times in a row I think. Zolder & Monza I think & another one. Obviously skills are a bit less, but it's a very fast car. Was nice to see the acceleration is so good compared to some 76 cars, hehe. Cheesy

I can see why the brown Capri hasn't any takers.

The Brown Gold Escort too, it says it has dry compound tyres, what exactly are they, and why would it not have slicks Huh

I'm as slow in the 911 as the RS3100 so I might take that to cut the number of Capris Smiley

I tested a 911 earlier today but didn't like it. Whenever I started to feel comfortable and push I'd get into a big tank slapper and get spat off the road. Shocked

I also tested a 911 today, was on for a 1:42 but ran WIDE and got the "cut track/warning" so I thought fxxk it, If the game cant recognise between cutting track and running wide how the hell can it manage suspension travell, tyre grip etc... first day back to GTL for a while and Im already pi55ed off  :'( Angry

It was on the exit of "fagnes" just befrore "Stavelot" and also running into the dust at "Blanchimont"which is hardly gaining time  Roll Eyes

I think the Blanchimant exit is fair enough, but some places it makes no sense I agree.
