Probably a bit late now but I think the LT version of the track has 'L'ess 'T'rees and runs smoother.

t t t t t the s s s ss tuttering gogogogogot mmmme.

Offline was fine, but once I had a few cars in view on the server there were certain parts of the track where things did not run smoothly for me and whilst not exactly a slide show it made hitting apexes difficult.

At least it was an improvement on my GPL experience around here a few years ago. I actually felt physically sick from perceived motion sickness and had to leave the race.  scared wacko

I knew that I was going to be in trouble with tyres.

I just didn't know how much!

After ten laps they were not so good and the Lotus hordes were all over me.  Thank you to Tudor for allowing me back past after we came together mid-corner.

I had discovered on Tuesday night that there was little chance of overtaking unless the car in front made a mistake.  Add to that the fact that the only saving grace of the TR4 is its grunt out of slow corners and it did mean that a Lotus was going to find it hard to pass a TR4, since the only place that it was faster was in the middle of all the corners and I was sat there.   Grin  As I laboured to get the TR4 turned, contact was almost inevitable.

So sorry for the traffic jam but I wasn't there to make it easy.

Congratulations to Giuseppe.

Ah yes, that explains why I've had no problems with this track before as i guess we previously used the LT version.

I had the same stuttering at the same place as in practice and strangely was no worse with more cars on track, but also now had it coming around the last corner. Looking at the track map these are the 2 places where my car is pointing straight towards the cross-over section so i guess there are twice the number of trees to render at these 2 spots and hence more graphical stress to deal with. And i suspect my Core2Duo is even more aged than Matt's.. Only need it to last til the end of the year though as i've got a shiny new pc coming then.

Despite the stuttering the race was much fun. Had an early spin but with others having similar offs i soon caught back up again, and then it was a posse of Elites chasing Clive's TR4. Not sure why Otto and Federico slowed near the end, but that gave me P3. Good fun.

Congrats to Guiseppe and Clive.

Lots of micro stutter here too even after I had left the game before quali to reduce my settings. TBH it made a fun race more of an ordeal for me and took away much of the immersion/enjoyment.

Not sure what is causing this as I had no problems when I tested offline at the back of a 20 car grid. It's not just this track either as I seem to have similar problems in PnG/GTL whenever I race online with lots of cars close to me.  Huh It also affects my ffb to an extent that if Clive hadn't given me a flash of his lights I wouldn't have known we'd had any contact.

Congrats to pody and thanks for some nice racing.

Otto thought it was Federico to get you going in spin and ordered him to get you back on  Shocked
I heard that in ts Federico did not agree  Angry but instead of arguing  dots he did what was asked  surrender.... ihihihihihi

Congrats all for nice race

Lol..!

Well that's very gentlemanly but there was definitely no contact with me, and no need to move over. Was I perhaps being confused with another car - there were several Elites all buzzing around close together, and easy to mistake who was who..?

It was me  Cheesy Federico and I were side by side going into that nasty uphill left hander and he ran into the side of me causing me to spin. Good call Otto as I'd left more than enough room for Federico on the inside  thumbup1

I've had a look at my replay and can confirm contact but I can also see why you wouldn't have noticed.  It was just a rub on the rear right corner of my car, sending it into a lurdid sideways moment, preventing my getting back on the loud pedal.  If anything, the contact would just have helped your car to turn.

Thanks again for letting me back through.
