Talking of Legzy's brake pedal has reminded me that his brake lights were blinking on and off all the way down the straight.
Also, thanks to Evil for being first Soggy home, and apologies for getting in his way when he was battling with Matt. He loomed at me in a yellow car and I thought he was Legzy!
So he had to make do with less track than he would have liked.
Grats to the tifosi up front, who managed to claim all the podium steps again....
I was reasonably satisfied with my result in this race. For just about the first time in PnG I felt that control of the car was more than 50% in my favour!! Qually went well and I posted a new PB to get myself up near the front of the grid, but that all went wrong when the quick change of the start lights surprised the car in front and it did not move!!!
I had to almost stop or risk moving sideways into the tsunami of 250's that were storming through!! So by T1, I was dead last.
The rest of the race was fun as I slowly picked up places until I caught Geoffers and Clive having their own personal battle. Although I was quicker, I could not find a gap to stick my yellow peril into and Clive was playing a canny defensive game at the front of our group. I could see Legzy closing from behind and was quite keen to get ahead of the 250's, but then a recovering Italian rushed at me from nowhere and swept past !!
Eventually Geoffers ran wide and I was through, but my "team mate" ahem!! saw fit to delay my progress lol. Without his "help" I truly believe that I could have stolen a podium....but maybe not
