Good for them. A wider tv audience for Motorsport can only do good for the sport and enthusiasts like us. Heck we may even see bigger sim grids like the good old days Incidentally what's the best budget free view type set up to get this channel? I've got sky anyway but have got a big plasma in a spare room that could be setup to watch motor racing when err indoors has hijacked the telly.

Doesn't the plasma do freeview already? I'd guess any cheap freeview external box would do the job if not.

Thanks for that, use to have Motors when in was "free to air" on both analogue and digital. Use to watch/record Aussie V8s, pickup trucks etc; the Indy Cars and US sports car and road racing.

Not sure if this is made clear, but seems to be Freeview HD only. Freeview Vanilla misses out.

Well we'll see later today, but I'm guessing from how it's presented in the channel guide that it'll be SD, and the streamed HD version will disappear.

Well, worst of both worlds - can't be received on a non-HD Freeview box but not in HD either (576i), using the HE-AAC codec for audio (which is presumably why a pre-HD receiver can't show it).
Still, better than before as I can now get it on my bedroom telly, ideal for those late US/Australian races.

That's a big of a let down. My SD telly in the bedroom can't get get it but at least the big telly downstairs can. Was a bit worried as the big telly wouldn't receive the streamed Motors TV but all is good. Time for a new telly in the bedroom?
I wonder how much money Motors TV save by using that audio codec?

I'm also experiencing problems. I have a Humax HRD-FOX T2 (twin tuner HD recorder with 500 G Byte hard drive), I have carried out scan and found TV Motors on Channel 240 OK but the program loads so far and then stops.
Will chase up through Motors TV and Humax unless of course one of you folks know the solution.
Best of luck the rest of you.
Looking at our main HD TV in sitting room to see if I can get it on there.

Channel 240 was the old Internet Streaming channel, appears very few devices supported this. Didn't look to see if it was still active/listed when I updated yesterday

Both recorder and TV need Internet connection. So won't be having Motors TV as I think our lives already too highly monitored.
Thanks for help.

You definitely don't need an internet connection to watch it on channel 71.

Thanks Dave but my digi box shows Motors on channel 240, it loads so far each time then freezes. Will keep trying and get onto Humax to see what info I can get from them.

It loads a screen on channel 240 that says something along the lines of "well done, you have found Motors TV........................and you can't watch it because you are not connected to the internet."
