Are those the default ones Tony ?

I believe so (just the view related ones). But I can confirm tonight.

Well I was quite proud of my 2nd place until I watched the replay, and discovered that I had caused the traffic jam
at T1. I was so busy making sure I gave Clive room that I bounced up and off the kerb into the side of Lobo  Embarrassed
After that  I just kept trying to keep a gap back to Roger, then Erling, and Clive at one point.
I managed to bounce off Bill stuck upside down after the start straight, but apart from the car not wanting to
turn right so much, it was still drivable so omwards to the finish. Apologies to anyone who suffered at the start. Shocked

I can now confirm that the "Flat Earth Society" are correct!!! The earth is a flat disc!!!
Last night I actually fell off the edge of the world ( which I have discovered runs through the suburbs of Pau) and have only just returned from Neptune, or was it Uranus  Roll Eyes

I suffered the same fate as SenorLobo at the chicane during last night's race. Just clipped the armco, something I had done dozens of times in practice and everything started spinning and tumbling...and kept on tumbling and spinning..and on...and on.  wacko wacko

I was hoping to steal some points with the D type as I had almost tamed the beast offline and managed a very low 1:27 as a PB . It indicated that a 1:26 was possible, but I never quite made it happen and I doubt that I could have matched Pelle and Lobo's times, so I was content with 3rd on the grid.
The Jag was always going to be a handful off the line because of the very high gearing I was using, but I just about had 3rd slot covered as we approached T1. By the time I exited T1 I was about 8th or 9th??!! something big and black and menacing had swept through the pack and I ended up parked on the grass.

The next few laps were fun as I threaded my way past other cars as I tried to get back in touch with the leaders. The power of the D type came in handy ( plus a banzai braking move at one point) until I could see Matt and 3rd spot ahead.  I tried to settle into a nice steady pace and reel Matt in slowly, whilst watching Erling a few seconds back in my mirrors. I knew that I could go faster, but with a long way still to go I eased back a little to save the rubber, and that was probably my undoing as the car was definitely more stable under power. I allowed the car to slide a little too much as I approached the chicane and............ Shocked Undecided

Grats to Pelle and the podium, and definitely to all those who finished. Cheers for Bill who finally seems to have killed the gremlins in his computer.

I chose the Healey for this event since it seemed to be the only car in which I might get a full lap  Roll Eyes P6 in qually ended up far better than I could have hoped so I was ready for some good racing when the lights turned green. At T1 I saw an opportunity to dive past Erling but I was too far back and clipped the back of his car ... sorry for that one, Sir. I paid for the mistake, however, by losing about 3 places. Huggy was up ahead, I managed to close the gap and we had a few great laps while I tried to find a way past. Eventually a gap was presented and I didn't need asking twice  Grin. The next few laps were a bit lonely but then I noticed that I was closing up to Rog at a reasonable rate. The last quarter of the race consisted of a brilliant duel with Rog and I only got past when he made an error on the penultimate lap, giving me P4. Congrats to Pelle, Matt and Erling on the podium and well done to Bill for getting to the flag with no PC glitches  Smiley

That was quite an eventful race  Shocked

Misnoimis:  If you loose your cockpit view, you should be able to bring it back with repeated taps on the 'Insert' key. (I don't think I've changed the default key for this, so should be 'Insert'.  If that doesn't work, try some others, as it's probably there somewhere)

Cheers,
Erling

Thank you Tony and Erling G-P.

Most of my problems were self inflicted. In the previous race it seems that leaving and re-joining numerous times caused things like sounds not to load properly. I don’t know why my XD driver time’s and position info dropped out.

It is possible to get into the race by timing your mouse clicks exactly with the flashing screen and your cursor over your selected option but very slow work and not worth it. Better to install all the cars I think. yes

I was joking of course when I said I took my frustrations out on a wall. Another term for losing control of the car. oops

I am now pretty convinced the set up problem must have been me loading the wrong set up after reinstalling the cars and rushing to get into the race… another senior moment I guess. wheelchair

I have just tried your cockpit view suggestion. It didn’t work for me. no

It seems that if I press the key I have assigned for Drivers View on my G27 stick shift I can go from In Car View to Hood View to  Hood Camera View (with instruments), but no further.  I can get the Hood View but no instruments by pressing the Home key on my keyboard.  If I press the – key in the Num keys when in Hood View and change to another car, then the Enter key in the Num keys to return to my car view I get the Hood View plus instruments for my car. Not easy to do this and stay on the track I find. Probably better to assign the Driver View back to the keyboard so I don’t make the same mistake again. Confused? So am I. Roll Eyes

After testing I can confirm that the LF Shift key will switch EXTERNAL views but WILL NOT put you back into the drivers seat (cockpit view). The Insert key will however. Why? No idea.

If you did join by catching the flashing screen just right I think it would cause you superior grief in the race.

Sorry i could not join the fun lads. Have been busy last week so spent Monday night figuring out if the stuttering problems from last time out where still there.

Had installed new graphic drivers and even though it looked OK offline i experienced stuttering the first 4 laps or so. And i wanted it sorted before joining you guys in an online race. It appears now the installation of the new version of Avast 2015 is hogging my system resources even though it is set to "silent/game mode" and was the culprit. So it looks like i will be there again for next weeks race.

Good to see such a turnout! Looks like Tony is doing something right. Wink

On joining got the endless loop, forgot to add all the cars in GTL car tools, quick exit to fix and rejoin. Was going in the Healey but my lap times were very poor, lucky noticed Matt had posted a setup for the Merc so went with that (Thanks Matt). Got a good start but was soon chased down and passed by Evil and Earling, with other drivers misfortunes and a nice big gap to Bill behind me i thought 4th place was a cert, wrong Bill slowly closed the gap on me and took 4th place. Thanks to cars behind that let me pass and thanks to any drivers i held up for your patience. Great race and enjoy driving these monsters but not looking forward to driving the Jag. Nice to see you sorted and on track Bill 2.
