(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. Special Notes: None.

This is a great track which has so much detail. It must of taken ages to create. Also has some corners that will punish inaccurate braking. But fortunately there are adequate run-off areas if required. And in praccy I think I've used all of them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longford_Circuit

Don't think that there is a pit lane speed limit here. Please post if you find out otherwise.

Yep, this track has long straights. BTW most of the tracks in this series are road tracks. There weren't that many circuits around in the 50's.

oops almost missed this race coming over the horizon!! New circuit for me, and just a quick sighter lap last night tells me it will be fast and dangerous!!! with too many places to outbrake oneself I have a dilemma with this series because there are a good few circuits that I don't know, so planning which car to save for which track is a lottery, unless I download all of the tracks and try them all with each car............zero chance of finding the time for that ATM!!!! The graphics for the track look absolutely great and very atmospheric for an old style road circuit....looking forward to the challenge.

Well, I have never driven it before and I cannot find it on the Alternative Track Database, unless it is filed under a different name. There are other repositories for tracks but 95% of them are listed there.

Longford track build for GPL was started by Bernd but was NEVER finished, Woochoo started a scratch build for Rfactor then converted it to GTL, sadly no GPL version.

Chose a car and thought I should do a few laps around here to "dial in". I can report that there are several farmers who have conveniently left their gates open and I have comprehensively mown the grass...it's OK I won't charge The escape roads are quite long too!! Struggling to get a smooth setup and the few complete laps were around 1:33-34. Stop smirking at the back

Hi Tony is the Maserati 450s 5.71 included, as its straight line speed is well above the other cars. forgot to say in earlier post Thanks Tony for finding this track for GTL.

I'm sincerely hoping you mean 2:33-34 I might , I might not @ rog.. I think you can use either Mazza but they are considered as a single car choice. So you get to drive in a Maserati 3 times and it does not matter which engine option you select. FWIW. I used the monster Mazza at Bathurst and yes it is scarily quick in a straight line , if you can keep it going straight!! it wanders like a drunken camel. The brakes are barely detectable and once it is travelling at escape velocity, it really takes some stopping, especially if you want to stop without the aid of the scenery!! Oh and unless you just breathe on the go pedal it will eat those rear tyres at an unbelievable rate!! Other than that it is a perfect car for this series. Just how those guys were driving cars at those speeds back in the 50's with drum brakes, no seat belts or roll cage, bicycle tyres and only the "feel" through their backside as to where the car was going next deserves some respect. Especially when modern "supercars" are barely 20mph quicker with all the aero downforce, computer tech and modern tyres etc. I appreciate that the newer cars might accelerate faster and corner quicker, but somehow they muscled these 1950's brutes around by sheer physical force.................just scary
