(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. After a chat with my PC man he has collected my PC and will give a couple days of hard diagnostic testing to see if he can find any reason it keeps freezing. Hopefully, I'll have it back or maybe not if he finds problem and has to await new parts.

Hopefully, I'll have it back or maybe not if he finds problem and has to await new parts. Been there, good luck. Huh!!! a road circuit. I don’t like them but it can’t be worse for me than the last race on a track I loved. Thanks to not installing one of the cars I suffered a self-inflicted debacle. I usually finish a race but there was so much weird stuff going on I could not get my head round it. So I pitted and retired. I even thought I saw a Red Flag (race stopped) on one occasion. A choice of only four makes this time. I can’t get that wrong can I? I can’t get on with the Healey, don’t like the Merc. The D-Type is difficult. I would like to save the Aston for a faster track… It’s all decisions. Let’s hope the guys who had joining and DQ problems have better luck this time. Fields of fifteen plus drivers are looking possible now.

Easy choice for me. The David Brown Tractor is undrivable here whatever I do to the setup. the Jag is not as bad but unstable under power, again with 10 or 100 diff settings and softest rear etc. The Healey is nice here also the Merc is an easy drive. Down to a low 1:29 so far.

Tried a couple of laps last night in the Healey and the Jag. That 1:29 looks like a respectable time , although nurse called me for my bedtime medication before I could try the Merc or the Aston.!!! I still cannot get that Jag to work. Surely in its day it was a contender?? but in this 55 guise it feels totally outclassed by all the other options

Fields of fifteen plus drivers are looking possible now. Possibly, but not everyone gets on with these LM55 mods.

Where is that short cut you found? After half an hour in each car my times are: Aston 1:33’s, Jag 1:34’s, Merc 1:36’s and Healey 1:38’s. Mark me down for last place. As I don’t think I will improve enough to be remotely competitive in this race in any car. I may cut my losses and take the Healey for this race. I need to find a good set up though. I think I will have to knock about five seconds off my lap time to avoid being a mobile road block when I am lapped. There are tracks I like better to come I’m sure so the Aston will get a run out later.

Just did a long (30min) session with the D type, because it was irritating me that it did not appear to be competitive!! I guess I just like a challenge Finally cobbled together a setup that gets me below 1:30 and is stable enough to drive in anger. I still have to try the option tyres just in case they offer any advantage and I think there is potential for more compliance by tweaking some settings in the setup. BTW I am NOT using the advanced setup options as I have enough trouble understanding the basic setup parameters!!! That does not mean that I have issues with anyone who wants to tax their brain and use the Advanced stuff.

1:29 In my tests I have three cars all within 0.3 of each other. But my best time is only 1:32!

Whether I used 'Advanced Setup' (only change was in the left front wheel, tested only in 15min) + all the other things you can change in the old setup...Jag D is impossible. Gearbox is shit...at all, no matter what I changed, it's difficult to get around in slow corners. Best time was 1:28.5 At the same time the track is very tricky & I would be lucky if I don't already on lap 1...CRASH

PC home and appears to be working OK with GTL. Appears it was a video driver problem the driver, somehow became corrupted. New driver installed works OK. Had couple of extra cooling fans fitted at existing case cooling grills to improve graphics card cooling.

Great news Bill. Hope to see you on track Monday - for the entire race! Cheers, Erling

I hope that you have finally cured the problems Bill, it has been a frustrating story with quite a few "false dawns". Looking forward to seeing you back on the tarmac ( stay off the green bits, the cars don't work so well on that stuff! )

As long as two wheels remain on the racing tarmac, there won't be any problems. We don't mind which two wheels
