History repeats itself it seems
In our first race here, I too was qualified 4th, and too managed to steal the lead briefly, when the cars ahead of me had trouble getting off the sloping start grid. In the first race, I ran wide in T1 on L1, but this time I at least waited to the start of L2 before doing so. Dropped to 6th, but had fun swapping places with Roger, Michel, Ati, Clive & Jose in the first 3rd of the race. The remaining 2/3 was very lonely, as I seemed to be in my own bubble in 4th.
Grats to the podium
And grats to Jose on winning the series - very convincingly and well deserved
Grats also on the little one on the way - hope you can still find time to race with us next season too
My own luck that Marc missed this race; otherwise I doubt I could have run away with 2nd, but congrats on 3rd place to Marc
This should also be my last race using my trusty DFP wheel/pedal. It's held up much longer than I ever expected, but I have acquired a G27 from a colleague who wanted to get rid of it. It's virtually brand new - doubt he's used it for more than a few weeks at most, but still couldn't pressure him to take any more than £20 for. Ridiculous really and a complete steal. So if I'm blisteringly quick, or (more likely) laughably slow in the next race, you probably know why..
Cheers,
Erling
