Thanks for the warm welcome guys.  I have a tree flashing problem also, but it clears up after a lap of running.  Will check my video setting and tinker a little bit with it.  We raced Muscle/TA cars on this track at GC and I remember the same thing then.  It's a great MC track, so nice and wide, but the last down hill turn can really bite you in the big iron....Will attempt to drive the Datson as it seems the most balanced and easy to set up.

Update:
Did as you guys suggested plus turned down  the distance draw thing one click and all is well,Thx

Nice one Tony (Wouldn't be the same without overtaking you) and prob true for most of the grid.

Hi to Jose, Bob and Marc.

Bob in video settings putting General Detail on FULL stopped the trees flashing.

Low 24s is as good as I have got so far, and the Beemer seems to actually be the slowest.

ditto here !

Haaahaaa! no flashing trees here for a change.
However i was busy fixing my pc until 1 o clock last night. Got me a 19 inch screen to replace my current 17 inch one. Hooked up the cables and was just wondering if my old rig could run the higher resolutions. Well it did! But instead of flashing trees i got a annoying micro stutter. Remembered i had something similar a year or two back. So went to play with the graphic settings, with no results. Then decided it probably was down to old graphic drivers, so installed the latest version.
Now it just CTD 'ed before loading the track. Now it was getting from bad to worse!
Had to tinker with the ATI settings for AGP write/read and adjust "compressed textures" in the .PLR file which seems to have fixed the problem. So it looks like i will be able to race tonight with my newish monitor!

Thanks all for your welcome. RACE DAY !!!!

I also have the same problems with trees, this afternoon I try to change resolution.

I never driving in Atlanta track and I love it, wide and fast track.

My lap times:
Datsun: 1:23:170
BMW. 1:23:450
Also try Porsche (911, 914) but not like it, atmospheric engine  thumbdown makes me nervous, I need a turbo engine  laugh

The BMW is great, is very funny to drive but Datsun is more estable, I think it is the best choice.

Now I remember also drove in F1 championship in NoGripRacing two times

Having a problem with flashing screen when trying to enter game. I cant go into chat or garage screen? Will keep trying.

Similar problem, track loads then various drivers load and then I get stuck in a loop running through names and the screen pulsating.  Managed to get device manager couple of times to end GTL but each time I loaded Atlanta flashing drivers names.  Eventually gave up.

Tried rebooting etc still same result with GTL.

Usually log on early but last week had picture freeze and then when I rebooted and got back in time for end of qualifying.  It froze half way through lap 2.  Thought I'd switch on computer and get on for qualifying and race - best laid plans of mice and men. Roll Eyes

I don't know what the problem was. I had just bettered 1: 24 in practice offline yesterday and was hoping for a fun race.

Firstly every time I tried to join I got a dimmed out background and a flashing driver's name loading screen. I made half a dozen attempts to join but with the same result every time so I came out of the game and reloaded it. Same result. I tried some things offline and joined again, same problem.

By then qualifying had started. I had found that I could go on track but no sound. I joined again. Other cars had sound but not me. Pretty useless to try to race I supposed but being an idiot I did, after leaving and rejoining I was then at the back of the grid for the race. The problem was I could not join Chat or load setup from the garage. I found that if I timed my mouse click with the flashes I could make very slow progress. I had to do that to leave the game.

This time I had sound but my gear change seemed to be malfunctioning ( or maybe it was me, I don't know). I decided to follow at the back of the field for the first lap and see if I could make my way up the field a bit.  I noticed that phspok was driving a Mini. I knew that that must be wrong but carried on.  Suddenly I lost all my timing and car position information. Just then two cars span in front of me and I ended up on the grass and then in the armco trying to miss them. With no info and no cars in sight I began to wonder if I was on my own. Then something locked up and I was in the barrier again. I was not alone because someone passed me. However I had had enough so I quit. I tried it offline and everything seems to work fine.

Some kind of weird corruption? If anyone has any idea as to what happened please let me Know. I will have to check it out. I think it might be connected with that Mini.

I been looking forward to this race but wish I hadn't bothered rushing home for it now. I guess I’ll have to hope for better luck next race.

Nice to see the field getting bigger.

I hope all enjoyed their race.

Results and replay now posted.

Guys who had the loading error (drivers name constantly flashing). 99% of times this indicates that you do not have a car loaded on your PC. Matt was in a Porsche 914GTU so misnoimis is missing that. If you download and try to play the replay the missing cars should be apparent as they will be substituted by something else e.g a Mini. Or cars will be missing so you can check the results and see what they are.

Fantastic to see a good mix on the grid. Hope we see the new/returned drivers more often.

Looking forward to reading the write ups.

Roger, if your car does not show up on the start line in the replay you will not be counted as having driven a car in the roster. Don't know why you had the greyed out flag. Sounds like a disco.

Many thanks, I obviously had not installed the 914-6. whistling I guess by selecting "Drive" and crashing into the qualifying and race it caused the loss of engine sounds, loss of race data and all the other problems I had. I have just downloaded the replay and see Porsche's and not Mini's now... I wont watch it though, too painful.  Must make sure I install every car in future.  oops

BTW, grats podiums.

Good race yesterday. The Datsun is glued to the asphalt. Very easy to drive.  Wink
The qualy was really good but the start not was good. My teammaate Marc overtook me without problems, but in the first corner he went to the grass and I went to the top 1 again. After that, tried to keep a good pace and little by little my gap with Bill, Coyote and Marc was growing slowly, second to second. I didn't lose concentration throughout the race and all went well.
Happy for my win  Grin

Grats Bill and Coyote for the pod!
Thanks all! I hope see you all in next race. I will try it.

Cheers!
