Championship standings HERE

Grid/server capacity: 28

Track: 1970 Daytona Road course Download this

Cars allowed: BMW 2002tii (not the "S" variant) Download this, Datsun 240Z (not the "ZG" variant) Download this, Mazda RX-3 (Gr.4) Download this, Porsche 911 GTU Download this, Porsche 914-6 GTU (not the 914-4) Download this

Drivers are reminded that they are limited to only two drives in each car. Check your status HERE

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (24 laps)

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: This race is flag started. However the flagman is out of sync with the in-game countdown and you could get a stop/go for a jumped start if you go with the flag. I would strongly suggest that the in-game countdown is switched on for this race.

Tony, just went online with the Datsun, to make sure I practice at the right track, but was greeted with 'Car not present on server'.

Cheers,
Erling

Room for another (not so new) driver? Smiley

I haven't run GTL since I swapped to windows 10, hopefully it'll work without issues. I've got tomorrow night to sort them out, at least!

And set it to XP u3 compat mode or it will just do the screen settings over and over (or at least it did for me on two boxes)

The box said "Windows 2000 server or better" So I installed Solaris

Set the 3d Config to run as admin too to get around that  Wink

Is there any advantage in upgrading from Win 7 to Win 10 as far as GTL is concerned Tony?  Huh

I actually don't know Bill. Perhaps others here can shed some light on this?
