Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v3.1 from:  http://www.gtlw.co.uk
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Apart from the oval Nascar tracks, this version of Spa has to be the most boring track I've ever come across. No Wonder they changed the layout for Spa ....  Grin

Must be a Danish thing  Roll Eyes or Stig's odd sense of humour
I have a photo I will post if I can find it, of me stodd in the snow at the "Masta Kink" which looks like a slight
meander of the road, but is seriously scary at 200 mph

Oh, not joking Matt, and I also think Le Mans is boring. Jan Magnussen ( who like his son also had a brief F1 career) once said, that doing Nascar was the most intense racing experience he had tried. I believe him, but it doesn't make oval tracks any more interesting to me.

But Geofers is right about me not going fast enough, but then again, I never am  Grin

LOL

Well there was never a dull moment in GPL!

I expect that Stig is in his Porsche "shopping car" again, with steering and brakes and everything, but where's the fun in that?   Grin

PS  I haven't had time to do a lap yet in anything!

Not wishing to burst anyone's bubble here, whilst we are all bathing in the warm glow of GPL nostalgia but..................... whistling whistling

GPL may be old and indeed the circuit we are about to use on Thursday is the same layout as one of the original circuits that came with the GPL game.
But, there are a team of dedicated and obsessive developers still at work on all aspects of GPL, and they have recently released a stunningly accurate and detailed version of Spa 67.
It is so different to the original Papyrus offering as to be like an entirely different circuit. All of the famous corners are there, but the altitude changes and distances between them are just so different.

I mastered the "old" Spa many years ago in GPL, but thus far I have fallen foul of the multiple car crash gremlins in every race and have failed to finish. But geez it is an awesome circuit and certainly captures the true respect that the drivers back in 67 must have had for this iconic place.

Hopefully I will be more at home with this older version, if not totally comfortable with these cars, and maybe I can get one of these monsters to the chequered flag......but this is still Spa so........ Lips Sealed

I think that three laps should be enough, or I'm not going to finish!

Yeh, I've given up trying to keep the Daytona on the track for more than 2 laps. Should be the fastest car, but I'm gonna take the Fezza as I stand more chance of getting to the finish in it!

Bugger, just missed the start. Which probably means my absence kept everyone waiting on the grid.. Sorry all.
