I'm not interested in downloading a load of Mickey Mouse obscure tracks tbh, something I always found annoying in GtL & P&G, and especially not for a sim trying to be as real as it can. Plus it just slows down the AC install. Stick to the stock, or decent and well modded tracks.

Apparently all the f1 '88 tracks have been converted from Rfactor but not tried any of them. Also saw Bilsbierbude were using Hockenheim the other day.

They've been ported, not converted. They're nowhere near stock AC standard yet, and it was noticeable on my GTX460 so it's not that it's lacking in the final polish stages. Undecided

The two I've mentioned are at or very near AC standard, that's why I mentioned them.  Smiley

Just gave it a spin and I second Mark on adding this track to the pack.

Hi all. I am just going to put some input here to get some ideas flowing as to how to fill in the next races with AC here at SROUK.

Sundays are for big GT’s, alternating with GTR2. I like the fact I can make a setup for a car which will be used again in other races. Makes it easier to participate with these rather difficult cars. But there is a lot of competition from other leagues for GT racing.. Can the GT3's be incorporated into the Sunday's too? These are a little bit easier than the GT2's?

It is a good thing to have some sort of schedule posted for the coming weeks. I believe people are more likely to join if it isn't just some random racing going on. We all know summertime has a big hit on grid sizes, not only here at SROUK.
Can we extend the very nice combo's with the 235i into August?

Alternating cars and tracks on Wednesdays is a good thing, but creates a greater effort for people to practice the combos. How about some of the series with 2 short races instead of 1 major race?
I know the open wheeler are not getting a lot of love around here. They are not my favorite too, but if we did a couple of races, we should get some rather good base setups that would make racing these cars a bit more interesting.

New DLC pack is coming out. What can we do with that? (mostly street cars sadly..)

Maybe on alternating weeks some older car combo's vs new cars and some open wheel action? AR GTA’s, Lotus 49, AC Cobra’s, F312 vs McLaren M23, Zakspeed Escort’s, Lotus 98T, McLaren's F1 GTR etc. The other weeks a tin top car league (like 235i cup), alternating with some open wheelers like Formula Abarth or Formula Lotus 125?

or  a small series around the Merc C9 vs Mazda 787b vs Porsche 962  (Endurance-style with pitstops?)

Maybe to make a poll to filter the wishes and needs around here?
Mine?:
Lotus Evora GTC or GX cup on British tracks alternating with a Formula Abarth cup
Merc C9 vs Mazda 787b vs Porsche 962 – Endurance style on bigger iconic tracks with pitstops?
F312 vs McLaren M23 – there are quite a few older tracks available (1988 conversions/ports)

DTM on some German tracks could also be an option. We already have 3 cars and now a fourth is soon to join them http://www.virtualr.net/opel-calibra-dtm-1996-ac-new-preview-video

Liking the sound of that group C series too...962 at Spa  tt1

I am interested in single seaters, but the ferrari seems the only one thats reasonbly qick and wont kill you! Then you end up running it on modern tracks...

Yeah, top tip about the DTM. Sure would make a nice series again.

After that some 1999 BTCC? The Datsun Primerahttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaU_-dSeZLU is getting some competition from the top quality mod BMW 320i stw

And not only Spa springs to my mind! Grin

Maybe so. I don’t have a big problem with using some ported tracks for now. But if we are sticking to original content and maybe some quality/proven old school add-on tracks it might work for a  F312 vs McLaren M23 series??

Suitable original tracks:
Monza historic ‘66
Spa
Nordschleife
and to be released in bonus pack:
Zandvoort
Silverstone historic (release date unknown?)
Add-ons:
Brands Hatch 1.1
Salzburgring

There are complaints about not being able to handle the GT2 cars cause they don't have ABS so not sure classic DTM is a good idea as they are harder to drive and don't have ABS and their brakes are crap. I personally like not having ABS as it's more challenging than just stamping your foot down. I don't really like the classic DTM cars cause they don't handle nicely at all (just like the real things) either, but I have done a series with them before and it was a good series.

I would love to see a single seater series, but the 70s cars suck in any game as they were just sucky cars (far too hard for normal people to drive fast), so you either have the F1 car which is pretty easy to drive, the Formula Abarth which I quite like and produces close racing but is a bit wimpy, or the 67 Lotus which being what it is not everyone's cup of tea, but is fun and challenging. Unfortunately single seater series are never well supported though and it pains me to say that therefore probably not worth the effort.

A new mod that just came out yesterday which looks really good is Caterham Academy. I've had a play with it and the first release just has the one Caterham in it which is a little bit under powered but feels fabulous and these things usually make for very good racing. They're easy enough for everyone to drive and fun...

yes, saw that. though we do have a lotus 7 in game.

Err.. we did do a number of races with the DTM cars so we can drive! lol I find the GT2 harder to drive but i can still drive them!

But sadly this game likes single class races and doesnt really provide much variety in anything accept the GT3's but then thats only 4 cars. Or you end up all driving the same car like the GT2's.

Merc vs Mazdas had been mentioned before.

Those caterhams look like fun, bet they make for a good race. I'm always chasing or being pestered by these on track days!  Smiley
