Make sure your LOCAL _IP_LOBBY.TXT file contains gtr2server1.gtr-evolution.com
Some have found that they can get straight in. Others have had to change their username or password or re-register

Practice: 19:20 (GMT) (60 mins)
Qual 2: 20:25 (20 mins)
Race: 20:45 ~ (18 laps)

Cars allowed: Group A= Cobra 289 Coupe (Any)   Group B= Cobra 289 Roadster
Top 3 drivers in the championship standings may drive Group B cars ONLY.
All other drivers are allowed any car from Group A or Group B


Track: Preluk  Download and install this
Time of Day Setting: 13:00
Weather: Dry
Start: Standing

Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit-stops: None required

Server: simracing.org.uk P10LCC
Password: see above

Championship Standings

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v3 from:  http://gtlw-blog.flyingpig.info/
(4) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function.You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect[/quote]

Have to give this one a miss. Will be in France for a few days. It's such a shame, I felt I could easily have won this one.  You know, Granddads have busy lives !

Very happy to have finished that one, a first for me at this track!  Grin  I was a little lucky though, got the second of the (nearly) flat righthanders wrong at 2/3 distance, hit the straw bales & spun. At that speed it is usually terminal, but luckily I spun down the middle of the road & came to rest almost facing the right direction, engaged 1st gear & carried on  Shocked, phew.

Wasn't quite able to stay with John ( alien), he was that much quicker through the twisty bits that my quicker car couldn't retrieve all the time on the straights.

Congrats to John & Evil in 3rd & well done to all who finished at this tricky track.  clap clap clap

Grats to John and Geoffers who had their own race out front.

Well maybe I should practice less?? as I got one of my best results last night and did almost zero preparation, just d/loaded the track on Wed evening and a couple of laps just to be sure there were no "extra" corners.  Roll Eyes

I knew the track from GPL, although I do sometimes find that the same track in GPL and PnG looks the same but drives differently...if that makes any sense!!

First apologies for the start  oops oops  I stalled the engine and actually received a bump start from the car behind, so my 3rd spot turned into about 6th by T1. Over exuberance by those ahead gifted me a couple of places by the end of the lap and I was dicing with a couple of cars.

I could not believe the advantage I had on the downhill straight  Shocked Shocked which allowed me to breeze past 2 cars at a time. I guess it was a hangover from GPL and being able to take the right hander at the top flat in 4th gear and carry that extra speed all the way down the hill.
After a couple of laps swapping places ( and paint samples ) I got the gap that I wanted and was able to just cruise away from the cars behind.

OK! paranoia about fuel consumption  eek got to me on the last 3 laps, and just to be sure that I was going to get to the flag and keep 3rd spot I used the 20 second cushion over Fulvio, knocked the car out of gear to coast down the long back straight, plus using a gear higher through the twisty bits.

That champagne did taste good  Wink

Glad that I couldn't catch Federico now!

I made a good start and was up to 3rd at the end of lap one but then I threw it up the bank in the wiggly bits and could never recover enough from there.  Had some entertainment trying to get past Doni but after that I was just about closing on those in front but needed more laps to do anything.

Started ok & was happy with lap one but came round the corner to find Clive facing the wrong way still on track through the narrow twisties. I managed to avoid him but at the cost of hitting the barrier/wall which broke my suspension, so I quit before I ruined anybodies race.

I might allow you 50% of that 4th place  Roll Eyes.

But on the whole a very clever strategic move by the Soggies to occupy those positions just outside the handicap zone.  Wink

Sorry about that Chris.  It wasn't my preferred strategy. 

Had you arrived sooner you would have found me half way up the wall and much easier to miss.
