Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 206s

As the field fly down to the first corner Mark Jonzo gets caught out by the first lap early braking and rear ends Popabawa who ends up in the gravel.
When Mark realised what was happening he correctly tried to veer off to the left and away from the corner apex but unfortunately slid into the back of team-mate Pops.

  • Mark J (Mark Jonzo)penalty — first lap rear end shunt — 3 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 215s

Tyf gets around the outside of Greg130 in T1 but Greg squeezes him out on the exit of the turn, resulting in Tyf having to ease off to avoid going off. The incident is partly caused by the track kinking to the right at that point, and even though Greg didn't actually move to the left, he could have given more space considering that they were alongside at the apex.

  • greg130 (Greg130)penalty — side by side contact — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 677s

Jan Duijs comes from quite far back trying to overtake Greg at the end of the back straight. Jan locks up over the bumps and slides into the left rear of Greg's car, sending him off.

Barring any penalties, Mo has wrapped up the Drivers championship. Although Truetom could go level on points with him at Monza with a non finish from Mo and a win from TrueTom, Mo would win on the count of having more victories. So congratulations Mo, well deserved!

Cheers Shark I hadn't noticed that, but I'm gonna wait til Monza to open the beers. If I drive as badly  as I did tonight TT could stilll win it!
I did notice though that the GT points are looking interesting with a possibility of Greg, TT and me having a tie with JonM (only because he's not here  Tongue)

One thing is for sure - the pace has really come on as the qual session tonight showed....all looking very pro indeed Cool

Another season would certainly give some of the closest racing ever so it gets my vote for sure Smiley

Olla,

Had a better race than the last 2! Smiley Luckily, since I had almost lost interest in GTR. Took the f360 out for a spin today; the Yokohama one btw Wink. With which I have a hard time pushing it round this track, so ended up 13th or so in quali. Race was good fun, had some nice battles with Jan B. Spun pwetty early on, but managed to keep it on the track for the rest of the race. Tires worn in the end so was happy to see Mo had problems, else he would have easily overtaken me in the last couple of laps! Cheesy Congrats to him on winning the championship of course! Cheesy Now let's try for another Team Champ! ZiPpers Cheesy Ended 6th which has made me pwetty happy! Cheesy

Race ye later,

T

I've never liked Estoril, dont know why but always seem to be way off the pace there, hence another dismal qualifying position of 12th.
Was going along steadily and up to 9th when I was punted off, rough justice for my mistake at Magny, not to worry.
Finished in 12th after lots of mistakes, oh well.
I do hope this track isnt included in gtr2.

Too bad I missed the first NGT race in Barcelona (full server), I guess every race counts in the championship.  Smiley

Estoril race was rathwer uneventful, I'm satisfied that I made no mistakes of notice, pretty consistant, though quite slow race pace. Qualed 10th and through mistakes of others managed to come to 4th place, which is good, considering a poor achivement in quali time.

At teh end Popabawa was coming really close, couldn't match his pace. Two more laps and he would be in front of me, I would have no chance on a start/finish straight. Good race, Popa!  Smiley

Also a good result for THE Penguin Tyf, also for Gerald and too bad for Jam who didn't finish.

Go Penguins, one more race to the NGT championship win!  Cool

Hi Guys I was a plonker had a good set up and got up to about 12 at one point but then fell over several cars in the slow corners and spun by avoiding them . Some effort to get into server wrong version wrong car so took a game car.I dont run mid field enough to be used to other cars.I was loosing about 2 to 3 secs a lap when following exept when I was lapped and found I could follow that car and not loose to much time. I am on Hlos at present and spent time praccy and setting up the car and it showed. Please Please can we have another sprint season . Is there a way of getting some british circuits and running a GT championship with some continental away races. That was really a fun race and actually felt like I was in charge of car rather than it me. cheers for now gerald.

It was also very wierd after Endurance seeing Pops in a blue 911 instead of his nice orange and grey one. Hope the skin pack works out in Endurance so we can use it in Sprints next time too.

I wouldn't mind painting a F360.. but we shall see.

I noticed on results that my 996 is named 911 and also the 996 I was in i'm fairly sure uses Yokohama tyres but on results it says Dunlop.. well it has Yokohama sponsor on bonnet - it's the Seikel car. There must be a list somewhere of all tyres used by different cars?

Yeah, it was a bit drab after the Endurance races. It amazing how much difference it makes to the whole atmosphere of the race having the team skins in there.

996 is the internal model name for what is sold as the 911.

I don't believe that GTR has any actual Yokohama tyres modelled - I think they cheated and reused the Dunlop model for Yokohama-tyred cars. I'll check when I have time.

Yes, I think on the actual tyre it still says Dunlop despite the Yoko sponsorship on the car.

The 911 is referred to as 996 right throughout the game, including the garage screens, despite it all being the same car as the 911 really, unless they use 996 as the race version of the 911 road car?

I like the idea of carpack for next sprint season.

It can coincide with Endurance update too np. Then one carpack is used for Endurance and Sprint easy..

Er, one thing I would like done for carpack is a couple of regulations. One being the number board and the other the window banner.

I will provide templates and a guide.

Errr.... Can you explain exactly what you mean and why you think it's necessary?
