Moderator's Report

Robert Fleurke wins his home grand prix & a hat-trick of wins for the season. The other podium spots were taken by Iestyn & Evil, who happen to sit 2nd & 3rd in the Championship table. Iestyn takes fastest lap & 2nd place having started at the back of the grid.

No reported incidents & all neat & tidy in the red zone.

Welcome to our new drivers from Denmark - Gismo & Pelle. Gismo finishing one place off the podium.

Quali was good, did a 24ish lap in my 3rd lap, and that was good enough for Pole to my surprise. Basically there were hardly fast cars on the grid, most seemed to want to save some tokens; Iestyn only had a timed outlap...

Start was not great, basically because I had my left foot slightly on the brakes (happens more often to me) which bogged me down slightly shifting to second gear. First few laps always tough on cold tires, using low tirepressures. Everytime I gained a little bit made a slight mistake and Clive was back on my rear, with Pelle's Honda close behind.

Then got into a rhythm and got a little gap, Pelle passed Clive, and the gap stayed about the same until he had to retire. Had prepared in the BT24, and made a late decision to take the Cooper. Racesetup wasn't tested well enough, and I got too tight too soon. Had to manage my driving in order not to burn the LF tire...despite this was able increase the gap to Clive, but then the hick-ups/screenfreezes began. Got upset and distracted by it and had a few offs, and lost a lot of my lead. It seems everyone suffered from it tho.

My luck was Clive and Iestyn fought eachother, and that way I able to maintain or increase the gap. After the gremlins thought Iestyn would catch me at some point, but Clive held him off until the checkers. Great drive Clive, unlucky not to be rewarded P2 after such a gritty performance!  Cool Then again also a good job by Iestyn, never giving up! Smiley

Great to see Pelle and Peter doing well, really impressed. Pelle showed great speed and racecraft, with a beautiful pass on Clive. Peter had a solid finish in the lead lap.

Sorry to give teamie Phil a scare or two. With a hard charging Iestyn and Clive behind didn't want to lose time, already lost much of my hard earned lead due to the gremlins. At the Hondenvlak I was closing in so fast, was commited to the inside line, noticed you went off track, which was not needed in hindsight I think. Later hoped you would let me go on the straight...

Anyway it's great to see you improve with RFB, looked like you made some major steps this race. Respect!

Well done all finishers and commiserations to the retirements, especially those on Lap 1...

Strangely I couldn't get on the server in Igor, but perfect when starting GPL (in GEM+) & write IP  Huh

That happened to me too when I first came online. I'm not sure how I fixed it.

Try, right clicking your GPLSecrets folder, click Properties, click Advanced, check the second box, "Allow files to be indexed". The entire GPL folder should be set the same way.

I think my settings are as you say (same with my GPL folder)...but note checkmark in 'read-only', should I remove this?

The UKGPL race replays are hosted on a separate server, so replay links are posted in each race thread for the desired series.

I've no idea whether there are any plans to use the formal SRou replay repository that you navigated to, but may be useful as a backup in case UKGPL3 becomes inaccessible.

Thanks Billy for the report, I'm sure its publication as was the very short red zone, greeted with relief by some.
