First of all, big apology to frex for dive bomb.
No excuses.
Messed up my down shifting which greatly affect my stopping distance (was too late from 4th to 2nd).
After that I was so pissed of and make at least 2 unnecessary mistakes so my 5th place is really good result.

Hehe, you came out of nowhere, from a long way back..! But no worries mate, it happens. Enjoyed the M3 again but there did seem to be one or two kerfuffles here and there and I was gifted an easy P4 in the end. Good fun though.

Congrats podium.

I was having a great race up until about lap 16. Had chased Simon hard for 15 laps whilst running 5th. He then made an error and I was upto to 4th for a couple of laps. But then I assume he got his braking wrong and I took a real shark nose punt to the gills at T1 that gave me heavy aero damage to both front and rear and side panels  Sad from then on my car was down about 15mph down the straights and I was a sitting target for the next few catching cars. Soon I dropped to 7th and could get nowhere near my early pace. Bit duff but hey ho, that's racing

Yeah really sorry about that. I was in trance mode and when you broke too deep I did exactly the same thing and then it was close eyes for the inevitable crunch. I waited for you to carry on in front of me but after sitting behind you for a couple of laps in penance it was clear I had nobbled your car and went past anyway.  Sad

I seemed in general to get slower and slower in that race anyway, dunno why, but the track was so boring I kind of lost interest.

Not sure about the Merc, it sounds a bit too much like a hair dryer and I'm sure the diffs needed fiddling somewhat for that track but as I did no practice I just stuck with the defaults diffs and fiddled with the wings and gear ratios which I think I made a mistake on too as they were a bit short in reality.

May I yet again ask what is the next round? Been two weeks since the last cup round yet we still don't tell people what the upcoming races are! Thought we are trying to promote interest not give evidence of a graveyard site  Roll Eyes

I only finished university on Monday, I'm currently in the process of emigrating, and I need to make sure that anything I pick is going to work before I post it up - and yesterday was the first time I've been able to use AC for any major length of time in 6 weeks or so. So I'm still catching up at the moment (I'm currently downloading some mod tracks and cars to test out tonight).

There will be something posted up by Friday night, likely a one-off race, with a different cup series to follow.
