I think that the Jag's tyres are harder than the tarmac!

LOL, you could be right, but the engines, certainly the 4.2 ones are quite delicate, and will lose health quickly if over revved
this one will bite the top 3 more than usual I think, as the 4.2 has a clear advantage on the straights.
It is possible to do the chicanes flat out while still keeping a wheel on the track, but please don't take the extract the urine and just
drive as if they weren't there. I picked these cars because they can "just" do it flat, anything faster would be a an invite

Glad to hear that the 4.2 also has a glass engine!

The tyres take an age to reach what might be called grippy, from an ice skater's point of view, and they certainly won't be at that stage when we get to Park Corner for the first time.  It took me four Jags to get past Park.  Two of them were burried in the wall and the other was a ball of fire after I tried to get more engine braking than I was entitled to!  I ended up with engine breaking instead.   Roll Eyes

oooh look!!! I'm 4th in the table ( have no idea how I am at such altitude!! ) and I can choose either car. Which probably means that I will deconstruct the engine of whichever car I opt for at the first corner  Undecided

Just done a few laps and any concept of "grip" seems alien to these barges, certainly for the first 3 laps!!

I've managed to get the 4.2 whale round in 1:7.775. Bit of a struggle though as the car won't stop won't steer and won't accelerate  scooter

I like the track, it's a bigger challenge than I thought at first. For me it's hard to find the right race line especially in the tight corners. I managed a 1.07.500, but surely one of the ace drivers could do a 1.05 :-))

I managed a 1:09.0 in my brief testing in the 4.2, and 1:10.8 in the 3.8
I only did a couple of laps in each to get a feel for them so even I may
go a bit faster.

Hi guys.  punk
Do you still remember me? Being away from SIM racing for almost 5 years, I believe.
How are you all?

If I manage to attend this race, am I welcome? P&G version is the 3.0 or the V3.1?

I miss so much online racing with fair drivers.  yes  See you soon.

Cheers  Wink

Hi Pribeiro, long time matey. You would definately be welcome in GTL land too. We might have a space on the grid for you (near the back)  Wink

BTW do you know a fellow Portuguese driver by the name of Portoflash? He runs with us.

It's a challenge to get the car out of the pits on this one without damage to the engine.  I set off down the pits at a reasonable lick and then remember, too late, that the brakes don't work for the first lap and have to change down to make the pit exit, which the engine doesn't like one bit!
