S28 - Friday Trophy - Round 9 - Formula 2 - Michigan

The 9th race of this season will be at Michigan, a short oval circuit with 2 bumps and lots of slipstream Grin
F2s are a real challenge here, IMO too slow, so the differences will be in the 1000th of a second...

Remember: for the LIGHT drivers the most popular car will be dropped for the rest of the season! Look at the bottom!

ONE reset is allowed but the Shift R must be followed by a Stop & Go in the pit lane within TWO laps.
If you Reset on the last lap a 30 second time penalty will be awarded if you cannot s+g before the finish line in the pit lane.

Drivers must complete 50% of the race distance to score.
Please check the Season 28 pages for details regarding rules and the Friday Trophy pages in particular.

Race List =  IGOR
Server = UKGPL_8
IP Address = look at IGOR
Race date = 08-05-2015
GPL mod = CANM71
60fps patch used = 60fpsV2newmod
Track = Michigan
Qualification = 20:45  UK time -> 45min
Race = race starts at ~21:30 UK time
Race length = ~40 min -> 60 laps
Damage Model = INT
Replay = you will get here

Please, after a STOP+GO leave the pits on the bottom of the T1 banking!
Do not full accelerate into the racing line!

Please restrict chat to emergency messages only,
including at the end of the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.

Moderation will be on reported incidents only.

GLA and have FUN

It is for safety reasons Wink

There were several dangerous situations after leaving the pits also in quali.

This is Mother's day weekend over here in the U.S. So my G27 wheel will not get much use in the next few days. I am sorry to miss this race and the one at Carthage. At least I can look forward to the races at Silverstone and Zolder.

My race got ruined twice , first time at the start avoiding the melee then on lap 51 when being lapped , first reaction was ,  shoot!  I just took Axel out , wasn't sure who what , it all happened so fast ,  I looked at the replay and could see the reason . At least you woke me up , was dozing off before then,  found 60 laps of follow my leader while turning right got a little tedious after a while .

Grats to Axel and the podium boys , spiffing race otherwise .

Should have been a whole load more exciting if you were really turning right the duration of the race... Smiley

From the replay seem a warp.Your car takes a jump with the tail.
You have not noticed the hit but my car have noticed strongly,as a cansequence,like Bernie says,was 40 laps of dozing off before you surpass me.
The Protos is not so fast,without your trail was not possible to me to join the others.

Fran, hosting a race and sitting next door to the server has the advantage that I cannot warp...
Maybe it is better to download the server replay first and control your view with it.

There is no warp, but crashboxes involved, when you try to close a door I am allready through  Wink

I have seen the UKGPL replay and seem that you are right.Is strange that 2 replay are so different.In my replay your car have a sudden jump to the right.Anyway, in the UKGPL,the 2 cars don't touch really.
