Moderator's Report

Summary

Greg set a blistering pace, turned the fastest lap, and won the race from pole. Andreas made his return to sim racing in good form and finished a solid second. Ronnie finishes on the podium for his first time in the Season 28 69X Trophy.

Server replay time: 0

JonnyO drove the McLaren M7 (DFV) in two races this season. He used the M7 at Monaco and at Nurburgring.
Jethro drove the Lotus 49b (DFV) in two races this season. He used the 49b at Silverstone and at Nurburgring.

The 69 Extra Trophy Championship page rules states that "Light drivers: Each car can be driven only once in this season."

Server replay time: 0h01m00s

Lap 1 – T1 – Bob, Tim and Piero run wide in turn one. Bob outbraked himself into T1 having out gunned Tim on the straight. Tim couldn't slow enough AND turn inside him so he had to come to a stop against the grass behind Bob. On the server replay, Tim gives Bob a slight bump, and Bob is lucky to land back on track facing the correct direction! Then a second or two later, Piero spins under braking for turn one. Piero was a passenger after spinning putting his right rear in the grass, he lost control. He was at 50kmh in the grass riding the fence, with Tim stationary. Unlucky for Tim, the contact flips his car upside down. Bob and Piero recover quickly. Tim uses a shift-R.

The drivers had lost control, left the track, and came to rest in the catch fence. No Lack of Care approaching an Incident:

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 0h01m12s

Lap 1 – T1 / T2 – Bernie and JonnyO are side by side with a nice sized gap between them. There is no visual evidence of contact between them on the server replay, but Bernie is bounced off track and his car flips upside down. Jonny is able to continue. Bernie has to use a shift-R.

In the server replay, it appears that warp is entirely to blame, and the drivers should be exonerated and not penalized in any way.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 0h01m13s

Lap 1 – T2 – Dave Curtis is navigating past spun cars in turn one and he is correct to be driving cautiously. Piero rejoins the track behind Dave at the entry to turn two. Piero follows too close, and he bumps Dave into a spin. The contact is very light, and probably does not cause much damage. However, Dave did lose a lot of time from the incident.

The victim slowed down for an incident for which the shunter was unsighted. The shunter was too close to take avoiding action.

Server replay time: 0h08m41s

Lap 1 – Bernie uses his first shift-R at 0h1m12s on the server replay. His second shift-R was at 0h8m41s. His third shift-R was at 0h43m09s.

The 69 Extra Trophy Championship page rules state that Multiple SHIFT-R = DQ

Server replay time: 0h09m31s

Lap 2 – Start / Finish line - Bob pulls into the pits for his Stop & Go. On the server replay, Bob does not come to a complete stop. He slows down to 10kmh before taking off again.

Season 28 – Round 6 - 69 Extra Trophy - Nürburgring

For round 6 we visit the "grüne Hölle".  Shocked
Not much to say about the most challenging permanent track Formula 1 ever raced at...

69X use the 60fpsV1 patch.

The race will be run under INT rules and you have a free car choice.
You can do 1 shift+r with a consecutive stop and go in the pits !

Handicapping
Drivers will have a free car choice
BUT
For the Light drivers: Each car can be driven only once in this season!

Driver lists and explicit rules can be found on the championship page

Race List =   IGOR
Server = UKGPL_8
IP Address = look at IGOR
Race date = 31-05-2015
Qualification Time  = ~20:45  UK time -> 45min
Race Time = race starts at 21:30 UK time
Track = Nürburgring
Variant = 69X
Damage Model = INT
Race length = ~50 min -> 6 laps
Replay = you will get here

The red zone will be fully moderated for lap 1 only. For this event the red zone will be from the start to the exit of the Nordkehre on the first lap. Other moderation will be on reported incidents only.  However any incidents that occur in the red zone that are not reported by the drivers will be reported by the moderator.

Please restrict chat to emergency messages only including at the end of the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.

The full time drivers can start to practice as soon as the server is available.  Reserve drivers can also join as soon as the server becomes available but must leave the server with 30 minutes of qualifying left, for a total of 5 minutes; this will allow any remaining full timers to join.  If there is enough space on the grid, the reserve drivers will be able to rejoin when there are 25 mins of qualifying left.

I recomment for drivers with low spec pc's to use the original Papy track version for 60fps online races!

GLA

WE WILL USE a PASSWORD for the TRAINING SERVER! = 60fpsV1

While I'm certainly thrilled to have you back in action, Andreas, there is some concern over your remark, 'somewhat'.  Not to pry but I hope that you'll be 100% ASAP.

I hope you have a speedy recovery Andreas. I'm glad you're back.

Did anybody notice the race record for the 67 F1s, 7:40.710. Is that real? I thought the fastest 312 time on Rank was impressive at 7:47! Vinny might beat the 69X cars with a 67 312!? Amazing!

Yeah there is probably a lot of warp times in those early GPL races. It's a shame we can't see what the real race record is though Sad.

One could, with time and insanity on their side, go through the race history and see if there are replays!

Waste of an evening  Sad
Get jumped at the start only for one of the cars that jumped me to out brake himself and leave me trapped behind him on the grass at T1 - then to make matters worse I get rear-ended by Piero, flipped and have to wait until I'm dead last to be able to Shift-R.
Just approaching Adenau and I've battled up as far as Piero again only for him to loose it and collect me in the process. On my roof again and game over.
