Season 28 - 60fpsV1 – 69xtra Fun Race - Monza 10K

It will take place on the infamous Monza 10K circuit. It’s the traditional Monza track with a banked oval which had been used for Formula 1 until 1961. Much of the race will taken in top gear & there will be plenty of opportunity for drafting.

The race will be run under INT rules and you have a free car choice.
You can do 2x shift+r with a consecutive stop and go in the pits !

We will use the 60fpsV1 patch.

Thanks for setting this one up Axel. I have said it before but this is a great track for racing. Sorry about the contact Marco. Good luck to yourself and all still running.

That was fun!

Congrats Marco, Axel, Jonny! Nice drive Marco!

I tried to be very patient in the early going. I couldn't get away from Marco and Ray, and I knew they couldn't get away from me. I figured as long as we were somewhat careful, it would come down to who made the least mistakes or the last mistake. Marco kept his cool and outlasted me and Ray. Good job!

I didn't read the rules before the race. I cheated. I didn't stop and go either time my engine exploded. I thought it would be more fun entertaining Jonny and Axel late in the race, so I did a second reset even though I thought it might disqualify me. Being a fun race, I didn't worry much about anything other than having a good time.

The slipstream cut my lap times by 1.5-2 seconds. Thanks to Axel and Fran in qualifying I got a good tow. Axel's tow late in the race gave me fast lap. I was carrying over 90L of fuel on my fast race lap. Smiley With the right gearing and the right gap behind somebody like Axel, the 49b might do 15s. I don't think I can get much more than high 18s without a tow.

I used the longest 5th gear I could use without losing any time without a slipstream. It was a little too short for the slipstream. I ran Marco down once after I slowed when he and Ray had contact. The second time I did it, from a spin a Parabolica, that was all the DFV would take.

The finish was reminiscent of my last race here in the 69xs. I think Axel had less drag this time so he prevailed, beating me by a margin about 4 times as great as the margin I beat him previously.  Grin Nice driving Axel!

Thanks guys.

Now ain't that a crying shame
Now wouldn't it be a real drag if we were all the same

Whit 2 engine broken and ,i think ,with less speed that the others for me was not very fun.Anyway with the right speed this track is fun.Now i want to check with the replay analizer the difference of speed, someone ,without trail, have done 2,18.For me was impossible to do better than 2,22 and i don't think that all is due to the curves.

No Fun here as well.

In Lesmo 1 I was hit by Axel and turned upside down.
Later my connection broke.
