I'm looking for a version of the current F1 Mercedes but can only find skins.

Has anyone got a link to it?

Thanks.

Food for thought....

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1502783364

Maybe something we can use for a next series.  Smiley  The prototype and classics mod both winked at me. Might even persuade some of the GTL luddites to upgrade their steam powered pc's  Grin

That GTL mod isn't allowed here, it's ripped content.

We covered this mod earlier in the year - the concensus then was that a: it contained ripped cars.
And B: They attempted to replicate the cars properly - I.E. they all go at different speeds and can't race one another

Bah do-gooders  Grin

I really don’t see any problem with racing something that’s been openly available on the web for a year for all to use. We didn’t rip it so no legal reaction and it’s taken from sources that are not fresh releases so nobody is surely suffering a loss of sales. It’s just someone bringing unavailable content to a new platform for peoples enjoyment  Undecided

But that’s just my take on it  Kiss

have you guys seen these mods?  (possibly the same F1 '75 mod that FMG mentioned elsewhere?)  They are pay mods but if excellent quality could add some great cars and potential new series for us. Anyone tried any of them?

https://www.assettocorsamods.org/

The F1 75 and BTCC mod packs look good. I'd be willing to pay 10Euros (£8.50ish) for an F1 75 series if we could get a group of racers for it. Smiley

Im a little confused about the F1 pack as i can see there is a mod pack thats been around for a couple of years thats free and then this pay mod  Undecided

Anyone tried this site?
https://acmods.net/

my word, they have a Jaguar D-Type and a Maserati Tipo !  Shocked tt1  might have to download that later!

I've seen those mods and wondered whether it was worth taking a punt on them.  If they have credible physics (and different for each car) then it could be great

awaits the FMG nod of approval...

this one https://www.assettocorsamods.org/product/assetto-corsa-grandprix-1971-mod/  interested me too

I personally would advise anybody against buying one of these mods from the assettocorsamods-site. They're all ripped models with horrible physics, mostly even copied from other cars.

dammit, why isnt anyone making good quality legit mods for AC ? There are so many race cars that could be modded for this well established sim, seems like all the modders of yesteryear no longer bother  Cry

will try that Jag and Maserati from the other link i put up though (different website).

F1-75 is a free mod made by Bazza and a few others going from the readme - I've tried about 3 cars so far. They're Evil Grin

Jag D type and Masser are both on race department, if you ever see them for sale then you know you're on a dodgy site.

75's have their official site in here:http://f1classic.forumotion.com/login?redirect=%2Ft19537-topic
But the mod can be found/downloaded on mediafire also: http://www.mediafire.com/file/u3zihr7yj1c8y2i/F1C75_Historic_F1_by_Bazza_v1.05.rar/file
You need to read the readme and have whichever dream pack contained the Lotus 72 to install as both the F312 and the Lotus 72 models are used - but the files are intentionally missing so you have to copy them yourself from a legit install.

As for no decent new mods, if you wade through all the arcade spec physics 'fixes' then just recently you have a 289 variant of the Cobra, a Bugatti type 32 (I've not got around to trying either yet), and the Ligier JS8 - which in stage 1 spec is utterly hilarious to race or hot lap in Cool Especially in the Hello Kitty skin someone made for it  Wink

Count me out of the 70s F1 cars, far too hard to drive and not much fun racing as a result.  Hit with a wet fish

says the man with an f1 car in his signature  Huh  laugh

Man up and roll your sleeves up  Grin but yes realise not everyone likes getting to grips with un-ruly race cars. I like 'em a bit lairy as long as they are driveable/manageable otherwise its just a pita.
The problem with an F1 car mod is its going to really polarise the field, with only a few able to master it with any aplomb which is why a gt car is generally more favoured here to balance the field a bit better. Having said that, when we ran a few races using the Lotus 79 and F1 312 it was fairly popular  Smiley
