You can map a key to chat if you go to options > control settings > secondary > Real time chat You must be on track and not in garage to chat and please no chat in quali or race

I assume when the cog wheel in the data on screen goes Red with ! it means that the gear box is knackered - that's when the odd gear changes occur.
Too use to GTL with full throttle changes up and braking and changing down often over revving in process.
Is this my problem and is there anything if the setups to help me stop this? In race tried to watch tacho and lift off on upward changes and blip throttle on down changes? That led to too many offs and over revving trying to drive out of kitty litter.
Will look at setups when I finish this post.

Not that I should be giving advice after that. I stood up, closed my curtains, switched the lamp on. Merrily watching the grid walk, I sat down in a hurry. It seemed reasonable, as we left for the start. Then I just got farther and farther from the pedals, tried to correct things n binned it into the pitwall... lol. I'm a... bottom?...

Results have lost one person again. Might be Anty, might be Frex. Who was in the Nissan except me? and who drove as "Lion of Judah"? I will sort it tommorow once I know for sure who is who.

Like Eck said, auto gears and watch the gear indicator go red No need to use auto gears, just auto clutch - manual clutch is poorly implemented at the moment and it's impossible to use it without wrecking the gearbox, no matter how careful you are. Race was a bit rubbish for me - the car felt very different to the practice laps I did yesterday, maybe down to track temperature? Anyway, wasn't getting close to my times and braking points were all wrong. No matter, race was going ok and fun chasing GT. Until suddenly I had no drive coming out of the corkscrew - apologies to whoever was behind me as they were unsighted and slammed into me, wrecking both our races. No clue what was going on at the time but it happened again and of course it must have been a slow down penalty. Bugger. Congrats podium.

Thanks Anty and Frex, I will fiddle with the results file and sort it out. It lost Frex then this time. It seems to get confused with someone at each event. it puts a "null" in for a driver in the .xml export twice, once for qual and once for the race so is a bit messy. Once I have updated the SROUK database with which forum name relates to which driving name our side of it then gives the right person the points. I am quite liking following someone who I can't quite catch, and seeing "(Name) received a slow down penalty" makes the race that bit more interesting can be awkward though when someone suddenly slows unexpectedly just in front What name did you race under Frex? (your real name I know) but for future reference I need to spell it accurately

Another very nice event and a few more drivers this week which is very welcome. I always find Laguna a challenge as it's such a fine line between a fast lap and a visit to the gravel. Didn't quite get it altogether in quali and knew I wouldn't be able to match the pace of Anty and Reinhard in race so played safe to avoid any costly mistakes. Looked like a good battle up front for a while and towards the end I too was living in hope of seeing that "(Name) received a slow down penalty"

What name did you race under Frex? (your real name I know) but for future reference I need to spell it accurately I raced under the name: Dieter Bromvich. Also Matt, not sure if you are aware but unless I imagined it I think there was a third Skyline in the race apart from you and me.

yes Dieter. I think it was Anty and also Eck. It lost Anty in qual, and lost you in the race :'( I am assuming that Anty was 2nd in qual.
Just for your info, this is what I have to sort out (twice, this is just the race part)

Ahh ok, this is getting more interesting by the minute But actually that makes sense as only you are lost, which makes it now easier to sort out
