After another 'freeze' on Snett67...I panicked. Had Win 8.1 x64 & I said yes in Windows Update for Windows 10 upgrade. Everything ran smoothly for a good hour to update & GPL works without problems...but I freezes again at Brands...time will tell  Cool

Make shure you have the "Ginetto" version of the track, linked in the race post!

You can feel it, as it has no bump at the exit of the pit lane...

Malcolm, you probably have to enable 60fpsv2newmod patch in GEM+, then choose iGOR.

Thanks for the hint. Just checked and this time the addresses for the server and the smart-phone changed again. That drives me crazy. Maybe next time I don´t connect the phone so the server stays with the first address. Or maybe somebody has another tip?

Apologies to anyone who had the same problem as me.

Entering the track dumps you in  the hay bales & there is no Shift R to escape. I went to SRMZ looking for the fix, downloaded it, rejoined & same problem. I am sure I have raced at Brands before & started in the pit lane! Looks like the majority of drivers know where to find the fix. Off to do something else.

Great to see Malcolm on track. Thank you for joining us, I know that some of the aliens at the front of the grid can post some intimidating lap times, but trust me....... not all of us are THAT fast!!  So hopefully you will join us in future races?

Well after enjoying the warm embrace of the haybales in the pits for 30 minutes and joining the rear of the grid, I discovered that my sound was corrupted and I had a wierd warbling engine note that peaked at 9k, even though the rev counter continued to 11k??!!

Then just to complete my misery, I was concentrating so hard on my mirrors out of Graham Hill bend watching for where cars were likely to attack into Surtees, that I totally missed the cars ahead slowing and.....................race over Undecided

Big apologies to whoever I rear ended, my fault entirely!  Sad

Heh, great fun.  I qualified 10th, mainly because half the grid couldn't get out of the hay bales!  Had a steady race, being passed by all and sundry.  Had a great battle with A. Livingstone for a few laps, till I lost concentration and span at Druids.  Only to re-overtake him when he went wide at Clarke.  I was then lapped by the winner - I think it was about lap 16.  Unfortunately, I inexplicably crashed just before Paddock and burst into flames.  Oh well.  Grin

There was a lot of warping, but it is a great track to drive.

Hi and thank you Clive.

After crashing on virtually every lap of qualifying I either stalled or broke my engine at the start and managed to coast as far as Druids!!!

I clearly have an awful lot to learn.

I will return Wink
