People generally choose a different skin a lot of the time anyway I think. Having to pre book your skins is a nice idea, but I like this sim because I don't have to do much work. I have been running in a black one.

Oh I didn't mean anything official, just stating your intent so that we get a nice varied grid rather than 10 'Art' cars

I think I usually choose the red and blue car #67 but I'm not fussed. There are enough skins with most of these cars that we rarely get duplicates and at least we don't have to worry about downloading endless skinpacks or seeing lots of white cars on the grid. I'm 1:42s following Reinhard around on leaderboard and 43s muscling it around in practise mode but I'm a bit lost with setup around Hock tbh

How do you follow someone on leaderboard? Where do you choose fuel? I couldn't see it anywhere in setup Do I need to know anything special to join the race tonight? (Not even looked at multiplayer aspect of it yet!) How do you enable virtual mirror? Tried 9 and f9 but nothing happened.

Multiplayer is still in Alpha phase of development so a load of features are either poorly implemented or not available at all. Fuel is one thing that's not fleshed out yet so don't worry about it. Type T to chat (no pre-defined messages as yet). I've avoided using virtual mirror as I find the in cockpit view mirrors are very good.

How do you follow someone on leaderboard? Click on the "Challenge" button in the leaderboard and their ghost car will appear in your game to follow around (I think - not tried it myself, but I think that's how it works. Where do you choose fuel? You can't (yet). Do I need to know anything special to join the race tonight? (Not even looked at multiplayer aspect of it yet!) Not really. You can only chat when in car, which is not ideal. Can't think of anything else.. How do you enable virtual mirror? Tried 9 and f9 but nothing happened. After getting put on the grid with no mirrors last week I now know that the top row number key "1" toggles virtual mirror on and off. However I can't remember if that's the default key or if I changed it, so check under Options/Controls to be sure.

Tried the M1 last night and I think this is the first time in RRE I'm not really feeling at one with the car. Untidy lap gets me low 44s but it feels like there is a lot more grip and potential to unlock.. Should be fun though.
I got the M1 in the Hillclimb pack, so I've only got 3 skins to choose from - I'll be in the #105 car (white with blue/red/orange stripes).

Got some laps in this eve, getting to grips with the car/sim a bit more. Got into the low 1:46's so finding a bit of pace Car can be a handful, as it should be, but manageable. Know I'm new round here but how about improving the grid look by pre selecting your colour schemes to avoid a grid full of same colour cars? I will be in the BASF car as that was the flame spitting noisy demon I loved watching so much at the Nurburg Oldtimer last year The car with a danish driver is MINE ? Stig

Not sure when I last raced with the M1, I think it might have been Hungary, but I find them serious fun a bit too understeery into corners, but with a little setup time you can get nice power slides going Roubd here, the only places I find awkward are the 2nd corner and the next to last. But then I am doing 47s so not so fast.

Heads up - Suzuka circuit currently 30% off. (£2.54, 3.48 euros)
(Anyone know if you can get the euro symbol on an UK keyboard?)

I wish they would do an Asia/Australasia trackpack (Suzuka + Shanghai + Macau + Bathurst) to go with the Euro and US packs.. They are good value.

Thanks for replies. No fuel? And no tyre pressures! Honestly? just don't get how these released racing sims have such fundamental items missing and think it's acceptable (AC has similar foibles!) Seems I need to up my pace a tad! Didn't know about the leaderboard challenge thing and had no benchmarks to aim for plus I was destroying the Ai pace wise, led me into a false sense of security Yes enjoyed power sliding these out of t2 hairpin complex doesn't give as good feedback through my fanatec wheel as AC though, steering in general is still a bit wooden for my liking but hey ho.
