Practice: 19:45 BST (30 mins) Qual 2: 20:15 (15 mins) Race: 20:30 ~ 30 Mins Cars allowed: BMW M1 Procar Track: Hockenheim GP Time of Day Setting: 13:00 Weather: DryStart: Standing Tyre wear: NormalFuel consumption: OFFPit-stops: None requiredServer: Simracing.org.uk E1H Password: see aboveBackup server: phspok8 Championship StandingsNotes:(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages. (3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally) (4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit. (5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface) Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Definitely (I think/hope)
It's actually down to how much free time Matt has.

I will at least be extending this one for another 8 events. I could create a new series if required, but I have never been able to do that (as in I don't seem to have the privs) So I have to ask Tony to help out. As there are now some more people than there were when we started, a new one would give everyone chance to start scoring points rather than play catch up. I was waiting to see what feedback I got on my questions about whether people wanted different cars or not before I did it.

So what's the bare minimum I have to buy to compete in this race as a trial run to see if it cuts the mustard for me? or if I'm better off buying a certain track/car pack? love these cars

You don't need to buy a whole car pack, you can just buy one car to compete online in.

Best way to find out cost is to go to the ingame store and go through the purchase procedure.......it'll tell you how much is in your cart before you check out but I'd guess around a fiver from your steam wallet. If you buy more content (which you will ) such as the European Track pack you'll get a discount for already owning Hockenheimring so you won't pay for it twice. If you decide to go for it make sure you give it a bit of time MJ as it requires a bit of setting up, check out my tips.... https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=13168.0

Buying a pack is much cheaper than buying individual items and keeping an eye out for discounted packs is worthwhile.

So is this the final round of series 1 then? I think it will be easier to promote a new series than an extension of this one especially for the prospect of new drivers joining us.

I've tried many versions of Hockemheim and the one in this game seems to be somewhat narrow. Am I the only one who thinks so??
I find it hard to get a good setup for the the M1, any tips out there?
Stig
PS. I Wonder if the real-life M1 could brake as good as this sim-version

Not run the M1 here yet. At other tracks it seems to understeer into corners a lot, but if I cure it then it starts to get too loose for my limited talents. I just get something I can drive and go for it.
