First of all grats to the finishers and the podium. Once again some seriously fast laps being done in these cars lately!!! I might have to put in some training for next season if I want to even sniff the champagne cork!!!

Really good to see a full grid for these races and a mix of talent all racing together.  Plus, it was good to see Malcolm getting to grips with his Brabham!!,  noticeably quicker when I saw him through qually and keeping it on the grey stuff during the race.  Wink

Thanks Clive, still don't fully understand how to get the best out of it yet but as in the real world seat time is everything, think I actually need to be a more aggressive as smooth isn't the quickest it seems Wink

BTW as I was accessing my FB through my broken Iphone 6 screen I deleted your friend request so sent one back to you Sad

Sorry I didn't make this - I blew my engine on Saturday and only got home at around 11 last night  Sad
Good weekend apart from that though

Sorry to hear Tim, hope you had fun though at Rockingham!

PS: Tristan's and Bastian's disco might be related. Maybe some other trackfiles, or is Aintree known for this!?

I think that smooth is probably the way to go Malcolm, but smooth is a relative term. I think one of the most difficult things to get to grips with ( pun intended!) in GPL is how much grip or traction you have and how to exploit it. Progressive acceleration and braking, without breaking traction can be both aggressive and smooth.....I think.

To get as fast as the guys out front takes "seat time" as you say, which is ironic, as the one thing this game lacks is the feeling of inertia that you get through the seat of your pants in the real world.
I have always found that my fastest laps always seemed "slowish", but that might be because they were smooth(ish) and uneventful?

That race was good fun. Admittedly I never turned a lap around Aintree and this showed in the race. My driving was somewhat shoddier than usual (who thought that was possible?  Wink).

After gaining a couple of places off the line, unfortunately I tagged with Ray on the 1st lap. It looked a racing incident on my client replay. Haven't got round to looking at the UKGPL one yet but due to the low speed we could both continue. Proceeded to have a few spirited battles with Andreas, Fran and Phil before promptly binning in not too far into the race.

I have the pleasure (or displeasure) of moving house this coming weekend so will be likely to miss Goodwood for preparing the logistics. Thanks to all for the cracking racing. The level for this series has been very high indeed. Joe would be pleased  Smiley.
