Privateers drivers – no handicap
Works drivers – no Lotus or Eagle
Fastest Works drivers – Honda, Cooper of BRM

The races will be held each Sunday & Tuesday for 3 weeks commencing Sunday 9th August, finishing on the 25th. The track list is Snetterton, Brands Hatch, Donnington, Castle Coombe, Aintree & Goodwood.

Points will be awarded according to historic GP scoring, 9 for 1st, 6 for 2nd,  4 for 3rd, 3 for 4th, 2 for 5th & 1 for 6th.

Moderation will be for reported incidents only.

Thank you Ronniepeterson, ( never thought in my lifetime I'd ever be saying that ;-)

Really disappointed with myself as I had resolved to take things very easy a make sure I got a finish but went into 4th instead of second entering Lavant corner, ran wide into the sandpit, game over!

Thanks again to everyone for setting this all up and for taking part.

Looking forwards to meeting as many of the GPLers as possible at Goodwood next month.

Will check in again in a bit to catch up on the results.

Really have to apologize to Malcolm rearending him twice in practise nota bene. Didn't intend to, just got caught out, being on good laps. No excuse, but had trouble getting a clean lap and took too much risks hoping the racing line would be clear.

4 laps before the end I got a screenfreeze. Still it was fun. Later more.

No problem Robert, I'm afraid I was a bit like a Rabit in the headlights and probably should have moved over a bit quicker Sad sorry to hear you didn't get to finish.

Despite Pole didn't get a good clean lap, really aimed for low 15, but then again P1 is P1, even when it was very close.

Start was difficult with a taller 1st gear for the last chicane. Pelle had his usual dragster start, but since I had the inside there was no way for him to go by. Tristan was on the outside, and I lost grip and slid in front of him at Madgwick Corner, was a bit hesistant picking up the throttle, but Tristan and Pelle did a great job not running into me. That was the closest of starts and T1 you can get. Very exciting actually.

Early on thought Pelle would hang on or be faster, Tristan again discoed or had a screenfreeze. But ran really consistent without real fast laps. Still having problems in taking Woodcote consistently. But was able to stretch the gap since Pelle made a few mistakes, and then got a screenfreeze 4 laps before the end, which was not unexpected...grats to Tim, and Doni and Clive for podium. When others have problems, you need to be there at the end Wink

Was a great series, with full grids, at great tracks. Won 4 races, but it doesn't draw a realistic picture. Pelle, Bob and Tristan could/should have won some races as well; and Iestyn had all sorts of issues apart from Snetterton. Had one runaway win at Brands, which is a very good track for me, but for the rest it was pretty much close racing.

It is a great honour to win the fourth Joe Shaw Memorial Trophy Series. Looking forward to next years tribute to Joe. Thank you Billy, Axel and Jethro for organizing. Thanks to Malcolm being involved in the races. Thanks all for competing. Smiley

PS: nice picture of Joe and Malcolm, I presume, in the Mini Cooper.

Excellent series & thanks to all those who took part. I haven't totalled the points but congratulations to Robert for retaining the title.

Also great to have Malcolm on track with us. I found GPL massively difficult when I first started (still do most days) but with some dogged persistence the times will start to come down. You are more than welcome to join us for Season 29, even if its just to dip in for the odd race.

Thank you very much Billy. It was an honor to be able to share the track with you all. I'm definitely going to come back next season but will concentrate on the 1965 Amateur class to start with as I need to get used to the online environment before I step up again to the bigger class. If I can get the hand to eye and lack of bum coordination sorted I should be better placed to give you guys a bit more of a run for your money. Should only take about ten thousand hours practice Wink
