Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 241s

The field approaches the Adelaide hairpin. Greg130 is at the inside of the track and locks up his brakes and runs into the back of Jon Chadwick.

Spudgun is at the outside of the track and is unaware of what is happening next to him. He sees Jon chadwick going by sideways and steers towards the apex of the corner. Greg130 still has his brakes locked up and hits Spudgun. Greg130 can't be held responsible for this contact, there for this part of the incident is a racing incident.

  • greg130 (Greg130)penalty — contact with several drivers on the first lap — 3 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 498s

Maurice Claessen is following Nakano_56 on the straight before Complex du Lycee. He keeps a reasonable distance until they get to the corner. Nakano_56 turns in a bit late and gets hit by Maurice Claessen making him spin off the track. He loses some places because he had to wait for a safe moment to join.

Normally this would be a 2 place penalty but Maurice Claessen took responsibilty for this incident so he drove around the track and did a self-imposed drive through penalty. Therefore the penalty will be reduced to a 0 place penalty.

  • mclaessen (Maurice Claessen)penalty — contact with Nakano_56 — 0 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 940s

Nakano_56 is behind Greg130 when they approach the Adelaide hairpin. Nakano_56 dives to the inside just before they get to the corner, runs a bit wide and hits Greg130.

  • Nakano_56 (nakano_56)penalty — contact with Greg130 — 2 places lost (plus 1 for penalty points)

Server replay time: 1755s

D Boyd laps [Zip]Tyf just after Chateau d'Eau. He then dives to the left side of the track, cutting [Zip]Tyf. There is some contact, but not much. The penalty will be reduced to 1 place lost.

Server replay time: 2139s

Mo is about to be lapped by D Boyd. When they get to Chateau d'Eau it seems like Mo is leaving room to let D Boyd pass. At the exit of the corner D Boyd taps the side of Mo.

Server replay time: 2818s

BMMRZ3Roadster runs offtrack with 2 wheels at the second corner. Upon trying to get back on track again he spins. At the same moment D Boyd comes through the corner and hits BMMRZ3Roadster.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 3372s

Nakano_56 follows BMMRZ3Roadster closely on the start/finish straight. It looks like BMMRZ3Roadster lifted a little to let Nakano_56 pass. Because Nakano_56 is so close he hits him.

In some leagues I check to see which garage I share a pitbox with

How do you check that?

Thanks for the info. Useful stuff Smiley

Just by looking at who is next to you. Sometimes you have to drive down the pits and use look left or right, but its usually easy enough to figure it out.

I sort of also like the idea that team's only get ONE garage though, i mean how many engineers do you have changing wheels and fueling at anyone time anyway? Some of the big teams like ZiP probably have a huge entourage, but smaller teams can't possibly afford that many engineers.  Wink Wink Tongue Tongue Shocked Cheesy Grin

Our entourage is about 3 busloads of might fine looking female Penguins! Then of course there's our FPS side of things with all their laptops for their daily need of fragging fun. They handle all the data of our cars as well in their off hours, lol! Obviously some1 needs to satisfy the needs of our groupie Penguins and this at first sight rather elaborate task is of course handed 'up' to the team captain. Hence I've missed a 'couple' of races when 'resting' Wink Grin Tongue!

Cool Cool Cool

Is anyone going to own up to taking out ALL the markers down to the hairpin    Grin

I can confess I did it in praccy m8, which I noticed 2nd time around and outbreaking myself there, haha! Not the one in race though Cheesy

Looked at replay, Greg is in Care Racing F550. So server has original and carpack files working np.. can only be maybe from installing and reverting between 1.4 and 1.5 patch. Maybe new GTR installation is good idea and making new folder for 1.5 like I do, that way 1.4 is left untampered with.

I think carpack is a success and it's safe to say when guides are followed it works. Shame about GTR pit sharing bug.. i'm surprised you didn't come across this in season 1?

Even when RS did a gdb for pitstalls in WOSEC I still found a completely random car sharing my pit slot i.e I was in F550 at Anders and when I came to pit, Jon_M's Lister was in same pit slot as me.

Maybe if someone can confirm that this happens with normal GTR cars too then this will rule out carpack as the cause. I don't see how it can be though, because it's exactly the same as if there are two lots of BMS teams! Seems like a genuine bug..

GTNDC, you were in league with default GTR cars right? Did you have pit slot share issues too there?

I remembered in season 1 the races were 60 min so probably not so many pit stops.

Yes it was. I don't think many of the NGTs pitted at all and some of the GTs didn't either (usually Listers). I don't think there were as many pitstops at such an obvious half way point being done.

I seem to hazily remember problems with pit garage sharing back in the grim old days when I still ventured into the public servers. When you joined a game, sometimes you'd get dumped on top of another car.

I think they might have been sorted out with the 1.4 patch but I could be wrong about that.
