Looks like a fine turnout for this event...  thumbup1

I had a short  test of the Zakspeed Escort last night, and what a joy it is to drive it on this track.

What lap times are you Guys doing in the Escort?

Hi Stig. I was on the test server late last night to familiarise myself with the track. This mountain lay-out is way better than the regular layout! I did a 1.49,4 sec i believe on race fuel and mediums. However it looked like softs could do the distance as well. They will suffer more in the end. Especially the left front.
I think i will keep the mediums on as i can abuse them all the way and don;t seem to be much slower than softs, but then i am not the fastest of drivers and wear/laptimes can be different for faster guys.

Will drive the Corvette for race 1 i think. I must have a setup saved for it and we will see how it goes around here. Should be fun, but i think a Mustang will be faster around here.

Cheers

edit
Ohh are we on the GCNGPnGV31 server for the race??

This is the SROUK round so I would expect it to be on the SROUK server.

It's still set to the practice password at the moment, could someone set it to the race one? Cheers.

It's not the normal SRou practice PW as I tried that, but didn't work here  Embarrassed

Also, the PW at the top seems to have a typo (missing an 'e').

I can't get in with the practice password either!

But Kurt is in there.

Matt is in there!

Me neither. Seriously, this is ridiculous. 10 minutes before qually, there are only 3 people in (how), and nobody is realising something is wrong?

These things require preperation, which I didn't do at all. Can't keep the car pointing the right direction for more than 1 lap, so I am a danger to anybody around.

I also need some help with the FFB, as I either have basically no FFB at all, or it is just too strong. Maybe I am spoiled by AC these days.

I think that there were threads on FFB in PnG much like there have been in AC.  Each requires its own way of setting the thing up.  It is so long ago now that I can't remember any of it.

I think that we are spoilt by PnG.  It's a complete sim.   Roll Eyes

I managed a podium in race one and lost my connection at the end of lap two, I think, in race two.  My wife sends her apologies to the team.  She wanted to know what the weather in Northampton was going to be like tomorrow.   Roll Eyes

I tried a custom PLR file somewhere, but I guess it wasn't suited for my wheel  Tongue.

I underestimated pnG I think, not pick up and drive, so maybe it is the more complete Sim of the 2. It definatly required a whole lot more blipping on downshifts  Shocked. Next time, with some practice, it should be fun  Grin

Appologies for the password mess, It was set to our normal race password, the reason the InterLeagu one is a lette short
is because the page won't accept that many characters, so I typed it in lower down the page.

Sorry chaps. I could not attend yesterday evening. Hope you had a good one. Was really looking forward driving the Escort.. :'(

@Jeffrey, have you tried (un)ticking the "reversed FFB effects" box? With my DFGT it is undriveable with an on/off FFB if not set correctly.

Yes, thanks tho Smiley. I used to play gtr2 etc with 400 degrees of rotation,  but now I have it on 900 for AC. My G25 is pretty worn, so I have to put the ffb quite low, to be able to quickly go from full lock to lock. But then I don't feel the car anymore. If I put the ffb higher, the wheel really grinds loudly when I try to quickly steer. Next time I will put it tp 400 degrees again and see if that fixes it. I was Just way too unprepared for this Embarrassed
