Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 270s

As they leave the first chicane Greg130 and PaulW are jostling for position and there is some slight contact as they enter the Curve Grande. Neither driver does anything outrageous - Greg squeezes Paul slightly but still leaves enough room for him to go round the outside.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 369s

Popabawa gets his braking slightly wrong on the approach to turn 1 and he makes slight contact with the rear left of Truetom's car. Truetom maintains car control and continues with slight damage.

  • popabawawarning — rear ending truetom
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 374s

PaulW is following Greg130 into turn 1. Greg brakes just as the tarmac darkens in the braking zone, and Paul brakes ever so slightly later but has no chance of stopping with the extra speed from the tow down the s/f straight.
Paul manages to scrub off alot of speed but still rear ends Greg, who is sent sidewways through turn1.

  • PaulWpenalty — rear-ending Greg130 — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 523s

Demonic Dan gets a good run on Mark Jonzo as they round the Curve Grande. As they approach the Roggia chicane Dan decides not to have a go and moves to slot in behind Mark. Unfortunately Dan's car is unsettled by the bumps and he oversteers into the rear of Mark, sending them both off.

Server replay time: 580s

Wilier gets a run on Greg130 on the straight down to the Parabolica and passes as they approach the turn. Both drivers leave each other just about enough room, although both move slightly off line while reaching the turn in point, resulting in slight contact.
This incident shows the importance of drivers taking a predictible line when racing side by side, and both drivers do just enough in this case to avoid an accident.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 1514s

Popabawa is slipstreaming Truetom down the main straight and locks his brakes under braking for turn 1. He manages to avoid Truetom and slides through on the inside of the chicane. At the exit of the turn Popabawa does the gentlemanly thing and slows to let Truetom regain the position.

  • Racing incident

I really enjoyed that!

A PB in qualifying put me 6th where I finished in the race, very happy with that Smiley

Had a titanic struggle trying to stay with Truetom for the entire race, don't think there was more that 50m between us the whole time, great fun Smiley

Have to apologise for scaring the crap out of you Truetom when I locked up on the start/finish Embarrassed Glad it didn't spoil things, tried to give you plenty of room after that as I realised there was no way I was going to pass you without a serious mistake on your part Smiley

Kicking myself for the one mistake that let Shark through... stupid, stupid, stooopid! Angry Cheesy

Awesome season guys, I hope everyone is back for NGT S3 (except Mo & Leuven, you are just waaay too fast! Wink)

Pops.

Unlucky mo, wondered what happened as It looked like you had some damage or similar from your speed.
I was looking forward to a grweat scrap too.  :'(

I had an uneventfull race really, maybe because I was sensible and not trying to break the lap records this time Roll Eyes.
Well it paid off and I got the trophy from the top step with Rich also on podium, a good weekend for CBFR Cheesy

EDIT: didnt realsie it was another 1-2 for us Rich  Cool

That was my best GTR race ever tbh. Really close with PaulW for most of it but we both had our fair share of trouble.
Started 15th, got to 8th and finished 12th. Not great, but the actual racing was fantastic.

Sorry for the other Kerbies....perhaps my pressure put you off a bit.  Wink

Sorry to hear that Rob. Bummer Mo. I had the same in practice. First I had no controls I had to exit plug in Momo again and come back into game, then I had no force feedback, rectified with ff change in options in practice1. After that it was fine.

As expected I qualified well down in 10th in the Morgan, 0.4 off my Morgan PB, but that would have only gained me one more place. Luckily for me what I've found with the Morgan is that it doesn't really have much extra qualifying pace anyway, so I wasn't going to be far off that for race pace. Sure enough, my race pace evened me out a little with the opposition.

I took Tyf on lap 1 in his BiTurbo after he made a little error, gained a place as SBG went out and then as Mo exited with his troubles. I then pressured Jan in his F360 into making him make a mistake into the chicane before the Lesmos, which allowed me to gain another place. Then I clawed my way up to Pops and Truetom. I was pushing very hard to try and catch Pops slipstream and eventually I did. I was making most of my time on these guys into all the braking areas so knew if I could just get enough slipstream to get along side I had a chance of outbraking. Pops didn't give me the chance as he unfortunately made a mistake and I was through on him which left Truetom. To my amazement I just had the legs on Truetom and eventually outbraked him into Parabolica after wringing the Morgan's neck for all it was worth in TTs slipstream to pull along side.

10th to 4th was a great result for me. Really didn't expect to be top 5 in the Morgan at Monza, it's probably it's worst track of the season.

Rounded off another good season of UKGTR. I enjoyed taking the Morgan this season it was something different to spice up the grid and push me to drive hard. Hopefully some more of the fast guys will take slower cars next season to give even more great racing. I might take the Mosler next time, but I might take my bogie car the 911 as I hate it, so should be a great challenge as I just can't for the life of me work out how to set the damn things up.

Well done to Mo on his championship win, as well as TrueTom for 2nd and Rich for 3rd and CBFR for the team championship!

Nice to see a good turnout at the last race and well done to everyone who has taken part this season. See you soon for Season 3!

Well done Leuven, great pace. Cool

Top drive for 6th too pops Cool

I had a horrible time in that race Sad Qualied about 12th with a 1:53.2, well off my PB. Race started fine, had a few good scraps for a few laps and a good battle with team mate Don until we had a coming together side by side into the first chicane. Think it was mainly my fault but will need to see the replay as i reckon he gave me a bit of a 'Heidfeld squeeze' Wink onto the grasscrete.
On the very next turn i got royally smashed up the arse yet again Roll Eyes (lost count how many times thats happened to me this season Undecided) and punted deep into the gravel where i re-joined very last...again. Angry
Then spent rest of race overtaking alot of people upto 12th & 13th and with about 7 mins remaining the car broke away from me in the 2nd Lesbos? 3rd gear right hander and i lost about 15 seconds and any chance of climbing higher :'(
A crappy end to a good fun season, finishing a lowly 14th here. Sad

Its been a great championship with plenty of good times, mixed with bad luck. My garage is now fresh out of rear bumpers Tongue

Cheers to Dave and Picnic and the mods for all the organising, top work  Cool  Congrats to the champions Kiss

Very intense race for me and I enjoyed the 10 minute threesome with Greg and Wilier!! Aside form the last 5 minutes I was either fighting to overtake or fighting to defend my position- very exciting Smiley

Pleased with a 7th overall, especially given I had to miss a couple of races, though admittedly it's unlikely I'd have made up the gap to 6th anyway. I think that may be my last GTR drive for a good while as I feel I need a break from the old girl in favour of GTL for a bit which I'm enjoying more at the moment. I'll return to GTR2 all refreshed and eager no doubt Smiley

Big and sincere thanks to the whole simracing crew for running such an excellent series Afro

Winning constructors and coming third in drivers has made my day. Great job Leuven.. but where was the victory lap back to pit, maybe you wanted to check tyre temps. Damn we must do team speak or something, then could have planned victory lap for photographers. Smiley Great drive btw Leuv, strong second half of season for us.

Grats to Mo on winning drivers championship and Truetom for second. Close in constructors but two lots of maximum points snatched it away from Kerb Krawlers, great stuff. Look forward to defending that in season 3.

Sorry Guys

Couldnt get online - the game wouldnt accept my password at the Muliplayer log in screen!!!!  Strange that, as I was only online 2 nights ago. Tried Re-Registering, Re-booting the game and the pc, nowt worked, so I am sat here totally pissed off. What a waste of time all that practice was.

Anyways, good luck to the K`Crawlers in the Team shootout, and all the best to Mo in the Drivers Championship.

Rob

If it says incorrect username/password look in .plr and under multiplayer options there is line ..

Lobby Login Timeout="20" // Time allowed (in seconds) before Login to the internet lobby will timeout - default is 20, try 50 or 60. Sometimes backup lobby needs more time to connect to it than main.

And for you guys loosing FFB and strangeness with Logitech, I had this exact same thing where FFB would go funny and numb. It's caused by Logitech Wingman, it has some bugs for sure. I stopped using it last couple of weeks and haven't had any problems. Really all Profiler is good for is, keystroke delays. All other settings aren't really needed.. look here at bottom I explain how to use program I found for keystroke delays https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=1146.0

Profiler is terrible, i'll be uninstalling it at some point.  Roll Eyes

Yeah, Pops, it was close!  Cheesy

I was watching you come on the straight and I saw you were faster there. I didn't wanna make a late braking just for this case. If both of us would be late on braking then we would surely crash. So I just let you by - great recover, by the way. I was hoping (not really, just to make a bigger gap) the sand's gonna hold ya, but you flew right over. Bags! I had to sweat some more. I'm glad you weren't pushy like I was in Anderstorp (sorry again, Greg  Undecided ). I had to keep a place, 'cause Rich was chasing me in the championship, so I would have fought back.  Hit with a wet fish

Shark, you were faster throughout the track so I couldn't hold you. Maybe I could make you sweat but it would be dangerous so I didn't. I knew I could hold Pops easier than you. No offense, Pops, Shark is just more pushy.  Grin

Glad I could hold onto 2nd place in the championship, though in the end Rich would deserve it more. Maybe next season, eh?

Good race, I needed to finish after several previous races where I quit before end due to my own mistakes.

Heheh! No offence taken Wink Shark was flying in that Morgan!

After my little lock-up I was more concerned about making sure I didn't screw up and lose 6th place so I didn't try to push you, just stay close enough to capitalise if you made a mistake. I think there was about 0.7s between us at the finish which is the closest one I've been involved in Grin

Calmed down a bit now. Congrats to the Mighty Mo and CBFR on well earned titles. And thanks to Mo (in moderator mode), Picnic, Dave etc for putting on another entertaining season  Grin.

Quados to you Shark, must have been so tempting to take 360 last night. Your choice definitely added something to season for everyone, and made pops day at Estoril  Wink, if more did the same I am sure S3 would be even better. See you all there.
