Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 270s

As they leave the first chicane Greg130 and PaulW are jostling for position and there is some slight contact as they enter the Curve Grande. Neither driver does anything outrageous - Greg squeezes Paul slightly but still leaves enough room for him to go round the outside.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 369s

Popabawa gets his braking slightly wrong on the approach to turn 1 and he makes slight contact with the rear left of Truetom's car. Truetom maintains car control and continues with slight damage.

  • popabawawarning — rear ending truetom
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 374s

PaulW is following Greg130 into turn 1. Greg brakes just as the tarmac darkens in the braking zone, and Paul brakes ever so slightly later but has no chance of stopping with the extra speed from the tow down the s/f straight.
Paul manages to scrub off alot of speed but still rear ends Greg, who is sent sidewways through turn1.

  • PaulWpenalty — rear-ending Greg130 — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 523s

Demonic Dan gets a good run on Mark Jonzo as they round the Curve Grande. As they approach the Roggia chicane Dan decides not to have a go and moves to slot in behind Mark. Unfortunately Dan's car is unsettled by the bumps and he oversteers into the rear of Mark, sending them both off.

Server replay time: 580s

Wilier gets a run on Greg130 on the straight down to the Parabolica and passes as they approach the turn. Both drivers leave each other just about enough room, although both move slightly off line while reaching the turn in point, resulting in slight contact.
This incident shows the importance of drivers taking a predictible line when racing side by side, and both drivers do just enough in this case to avoid an accident.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 1514s

Popabawa is slipstreaming Truetom down the main straight and locks his brakes under braking for turn 1. He manages to avoid Truetom and slides through on the inside of the chicane. At the exit of the turn Popabawa does the gentlemanly thing and slows to let Truetom regain the position.

  • Racing incident

Quados to you Shark, must have been so tempting to take 360 last night. Your choice definitely added something to season for everyone, and made pops day at Estoril  Wink, if more did the same I am sure S3 would be even better. See you all there.

Absolutely. It's great for us mere mortals to be able to mix it up with the big boys for a while. After only just one year of GTR, we're finally getting the hang of it Cheesy

And thanks to everyong involved in organising and moderating the races - much appreciated  Kiss

After a nights sleep the frustrations have virtually dissappeared, so it is correct to congratulate the winners, Mo, and Team CBFR - well done guys.

Also BIG thanks to Dave, all the mods and the organisers for putting this together and keeping it stuck together with very strong glue throughout the season.

Cheers guys, roll on S3.

Cheers

Absolutely true, Pops. You've grown into something to consider over the last season - top 5 most of the second half.  Smiley
Seems like we'll be close racing some more in the next season. I'm looking forward to it. Big boys, watch out!  Shocked

And for you guys loosing FFB and strangeness with Logitech, I had this exact same thing where FFB would go funny and numb. It's caused by Logitech Wingman, it has some bugs for sure. I stopped using it last couple of weeks and haven't had any problems. Really all Profiler is good for is, keystroke delays. All other settings aren't really needed.. look here at bottom I explain how to use program I found for keystroke delays https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=1146.0

Profiler is terrible, i'll be uninstalling it at some point.  Roll Eyes

Actually I gave up with the Profiler when I installed my new PC and I still get problems.  Undecided

PC's do what they're told, only very difficult to pin down causes.

One thing to try is using the regular USB slots on mobo rather than any addon USB2.0 devices. Another one is to enable the centering spring in Properties but have it on 0% - this also improves feel of FFB I think. It's possible some other process causing conflict perhaps, how many services you have running after reboot. I have 21..

Will have think some more but it should be fixable unless wheel is faulty.

Actually no not tempting at all. I vowed to take the Morgan all season so I didn't have a choice.  Smiley I was running 3 on the rear wing mind you to get more speed on the straights!

Now I've done a whole season in the Morgan, I shall be putting all those setups into a zip file and making them available on the Team Shark website. So if anyone else wants to try the Morgan there is a good set of setups to use.

I've never had any real problem with it - occaisionally it doesn't notice that a particular game has started but other than that I never seem to have any problems with it.

Now that Apple are making Intel based machines we need to persuade SimBin et al to start porting these games over to MacOS/X. Wink

Don't let Fozz see that opinion Dave Wink

It is amazing they work at all really given the number of configurations/installations they can have. Even though it's the most expensive way to get a gaming fix though I'm totally hooked- don't care if I never pick up another joypad again  Wink

Congratulations to Mo & CBFR for winning the driver & team championships. The driving standards are getting better all the time, it's getting really tough in the midfield now.

Gotta agree there. At the moment I even refuse to buy new stuff for it, just waiting for the old to die! Grrr! LOL!

And if PCs would do what they are told, then why the heck do I need to 'right click and save as...' on every pr0n link on the internet all the time!?

Cheers for the congrats guys ...to have won the championship is something I would never have guessed 5 months ago.
It's been a long season since October and a real education for me in what in means to race a whole championship and to try to make every round count (which I didn't do).

Congrats to CBFR on the championship and also to the mighty Penguins on well earned second spot.
Congrats also to the Kerbcrawlers for 3rd place and for the great KC turnout for the final race.

It was my first season as moderator and I have to congrat everyone on the high standard of driving we now see every week.
Keep it up guys....less work for me Wink
With the current competitive pace throughout the field it looks like everyone has turned pro so should make for a brilliant season 3 Smiley

Thanks to all the admins who make the racing happen, and look forward to racing you all in S3.

From my side, I must say that I improved my racing because I had to struggle. I raced a few races in another league. In NGT I was faster by two seconds per lap. It was boring, though the atmosfere was good there, too, very friendly. I prefer racing here, when you try, you get better. I won only one race here and I'm all the more proud of it.

P.S. If Leuven had a more aggresive personality I wouldn't have won that one, either.  Roll Eyes
