I think he does mean toe out on the front, to get the inside wheel to pull the nose round a bit more. Have only tried the chevvy and the maclaren, the chevvy for me was like the Gr5 cars, way too much power for the chassis. had to set the rear very soft and the front hard to be able to complete a lap. The Mac was quite different, as you would expect as it is rear(ish) engined. turns in ok, but you have to be very cautious with the power coming out of the slow corners. Have you tried reducing the steering angle Bill? the defautl is very unresponsive. I understand Reinhard's point about the cut tracks here, it can be very frustrating, but you know exactly where it won't allow you to go wide so , err don't.

Yes have standardised on 420 degrees of wheel rotation and 30 (whatever it is called?)

Thanks Matt, bought a McLaren at great expense! It's a revelation, cranked up rear end, front Toe in etc. It is much better here but I hate this track and have to almost walk around a couple of corners. Gave it a whirl at Suzuka and it's great, nice to have a car that goes more or less where intended. Incidentally using the same procedures I've transformed the handling of the BMW M 1 compared to the last time I drove it. I now using the same steering rotation and steering angle on both RRE and GTL.

Bill, one other thing I have discovered, not being used to these modern new fangled things, these cars have traction control, set to default 2 setting they are way easier to get out of corners. on 3 you can floor the throttle and it just goes. You don't go quite as fast, but it makes them much more controllable.

And you can set up your own maps in the "Car Setup" page to give progressions of TC....I control these from the little red dial on my DFGT which gives me something else to play with as I watch Reinhard disappearing into the distance
