Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 393s

JonM_UK has lot a position to D Boyd in turn 2. He tries to get his position back and punts D Boyd off while trying. JonM_UK thought D Boyd knew he was next to him but unfortunately he didn't. D Boyd still was in front of JonM_UK at the turn in point.

  • JonM_ukpenalty — contact with D Boyd — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 816s

In the lap before the incident Spacefox had been passed by Zacari. At the last corner Zacari makes a mistake and is being passed by Spacefox again. They drive alongside at the main straight. Spacefox brakes a little later than Zacari, getting a car's length in front and turning right in front of Zacari.

Zacari explains he was unable to see Spacefox until they gets into the corner. The onboard cam confirms this.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 2922s

Whitham69 approaching Ginsters fast at the main straight. When they get to the first corner he makes a passing attempt, locks his brakes and runs straight into Ginsters. As Ginsters was well in front at corner entry he would have hit Zacari soon or later.

  • whitham69penalty — contact with Zacari — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 4836s

At the fron straight D Boyd approaches Bernie Lomax and just taps him at the right rear. D Boyd later explained he thought Bernie was letting him pass. In fact Bernie was just following the racing line.

The incident was not reported by the victim so the given penalty is for info only.

  • D Boyd (D Boyd (VdrSain))penalty — contact with Bernie Lomax — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 4862s

Zacari just went off in turn 2. When he rejoins and turns into turn 2 he just spins out when he stops spinning his car is facing the wrong direction. D Boyd, who can't judge where Zacari will end up, approaches and can't avoid him anymore. A little while after that the same happens to Popabawa. After this Whitahm69 approaches and runs into Popabawa.

When D boyd was approaching Zacari still was moving, so he couldn't judge the situation. At the time Popabawa approached Zacari's car was stationary. When looking from the onboard camera view Zacari already visible from turn 2.

Whitham69 could not do much to avoid Popabawa. He already slowed down. Popabawa's car still was moving and according to Whitham69's report there was a lot of debris on the track.

Please take care while approaching an incident as it is difficult to judge the situation at high speed. At brake a little until you are sure you can pass safely.

  • popabawaadvice — slow down when you approach an incident
  • popabawacaution — lack of care while approaching an incident

I think patchy rain is classed as dry, not sure about light rain, I assume wet.

If the description of conditions is such that there's continuous precipitation (light rain or light snow would seem to fall into these categories) then it should be wet.

Well my pedals are ok again for now since my last problems, with the extra tape in them, until the next time. Unfortunately, was having some sideways action in GTL and crunch, my Momo wheel broke!

 oops

The screws that hold the big cog on have snapped out of their plastic holes. Have glued the big cog into place, but it's making horrible clunks as the wheel goes round. Not sure it's useable like that.

Going to try some practice this morning with it but I don't hold out much hope that it will last 80 mins racing. Have the cover off in case it needs emergency repairs during racing. I may have to resort to using my old Logitech Formula Force GP wheel and the Momo pedals until I get a replacement. Whichever, certainly not going to do my lap times any good, so don't be suprised to be seeing me further down than normal tonight.

Have ordered a DFP from Ebuyer (£60! - Cheaper than a Momo! Bizarre). Should arrive on Thursday so will be without a proper wheel for Sprint on Tuesday (although I'm only a reserve) as well.

Not a good weekend so far, as my digital camera has died on me too! Canon Powershot S1 IS, gets E18 error, the lense doesn't come out. Completely useless, apparently a very very common error on Canons of all types, so will be avoiding them like the plague now.
