Moderator's Report

I have got some complaints about cars staying in the gravel trap for some time. I would like to ask everybody to retire whenever it is impossible to continue racing.

Server replay time: 2866s

D Boyd comes up to Maverick when they approach the first corner. Maverick is being overtaken and is braking early to avoid contact. D Boyd brakes a little later and can't avoid contact anymore rearending Maverick.

Maverick braked very early so it was impossible to avoid contact.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 3247s

Shark is being overtaken by Spacefox near start/finish. As Spacefox is next to Shark he moves across and pushes Shark of the track.

Later Spacefox explained his car was badly damaged so it just swerved into Shark. I would like to encourage everybody to retire from the race when your car is damaged so severely it can't be repaired.

  • SpaceFoxadvice — retire when your car is damaged too severe
  • SpaceFoxpenalty — contact with Shark — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

I should be ok for this one, assuming nothing horrible happens when building my system.  I couldn't quite believe that only 2 GT cars finished at Estoril!  Kinda wish I'd tried racing with min. gfx settings on this PC... even if it'd looked worse than MF1GP on my old A500+ laugh

Good stuff Zacari. Be good to have you back.

Actually 3 finished in GT. I thought only 2 had because I came third overall in my NGT 360, but in fact Enz also finished in GT, just further back (sorry missed that when I looked at the results).

I can't quite crack into the 1:51's, I'm pretty consistent in the low 1:52's in my qualifying set-up though.

Getting in some sneaky practice Shark Wink. Low 1.51 in quali, should be a bit more to come. Quit happy with that until I saw Mo's times and what is possible there. Not decided on race strategy yet as the non-stopper is an option. Just be glad to have a reasonable finish at Monza, for the first time in about five attempts. End of term feel about it  Smiley.

I think the 911s will have quite a bit of an edge at Monza. Certainly higher top speed.
I'm not going to be doing anything like low 1:51s in the F360.

What wing you running?

In the TPG Monza sprint race I was running with a splitter/wing arrangement of 1/4 for the Bi-Turbo and GT3.  I could hit 172 down the start/finish straight and still bring it back down to make the first chicane.  I noticed that the F360's couldn't quite keep up on the straights coming off corners.

I do have to say though, I'm working with the F360 for the Chaser's Spa Endurance race next week, and the F360 has insane braking capabillity.  Better so far than the 911's, I don't know if that's a setup/experience issue but they can outbrake me without too much problem.  So I don't know...the extra speed gets you so far with the 911, but the F360's have the edge with braking.

Should be a good race as usual though, think all the NGTs are going to be pretty close.  Grin

Sorry, was meddling with server earlier to copy settings across to new one and failed to restart GTR. Up again now, probably a bit late for you.
