Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

Drivers are advised to install the advanced setup mod. This will enable wing angle to be modified. Get the mod here http://www.mediafire.com/download/3hufvlu3k93egh3/Advanced_Setup.zip

Install three files (Game.dic, GTLOptions1.gtl and gtlui.mnu) into your folder called UIdata.

Hi. Smiley
Congratulations to all participants especially Ziu Bacubacu for victory and Erling G-P and Geoffers the podium.
Very good fight with Erling which is fair winner, I've had a lot of fun laugh.
See you in 15 days, much to my regret I have night shift and on Monday 27 I can not be with you.

Love these cars and am enjoying the tracks their racing at. Had a coming together with Maipor at turn 1 about five laps into the race. As I rejoined and Maipor waited for me, he was hit hard by Bob and this impact killed both their cars. Bad luck guys. As I tried to catch the cars ahead of me, tyre wear and some high kerbs flipped my car over at the last chicane before the complex and I lost loads of time and Roger passed me. Next lap I span off and did for the suspension. After a long pit stop I was last and try as I might I could not make inroads into Bill's lead. More spins followed so I threw in the towel and retired early.

Drivers please note: Whilst it is appreciated that you wait for another car to re-join after an incident, please consider if your parked car is in the way of others who may need the track space your occupying. As long as the spot is given back within two laps everything is good (or take a drive thru within 3 laps of the incident).

Next is Osterreichring which should be a blast in these cars  Cool

I start to say big grats Erling for your qualy lap, it s an alien lap time. I really was worried on practice when i saw that Erling was going on 2:05,7 because i never before qualy  get under 2:06. I had to push very hard for get Pole lap also if i have to say that i could get better i think 2:04,6 about, because on my best lap i was -0,318 in T2 but i did a mistake on corner 14.

About Race the first half has been very fun with Geoffers. I had some understeer on the first laps and Geoffers was more and more close to me. He passed me on the Ost corner but I pretended to pass him on corner 11 hoping that he mistake and it worked, in fact he go out slow from corner 11 and i pass him on Sachs corner. After he mistake even and i could control the race.

About corner 11 it s very difficult pass, Geoffers and Erling touch here, i see on my mirror so I pretended to pass Geoffers but i really not tried.
I like too racing on Hockenheim but only long version with straights. Since 2002 these track become a Kart track, good for Mickey Mouse.
On Hockenheim 1979 version i prefered to have a kerb also on corner 14, but it s always a pleasure drive here.

Less and less hope for championship i have. I win but Erling second and.....he gets at last meter it.........Geoffers had fuel problem Huh? Only he can say. I will try to win the last 3 races but if Erling finish always second I not have any possibility. I'm paying for the mistakes of Zolder and Dijon

Geoffers was definitely slowing during the final laps of the race. I suspect it was engine wear?

Thanks Ziu regarding my qualy lap time - yesterday did my first sub 2:06 laps and had not thought I could get as low as I did.

Can't complain about the result, but not a good race for me.  Held on to 2nd despite so-so start. Geoffers close behind and like Ziu mentions, we touched as he did an overtake move going into the stadium area. I came off the worst, spinning off onto the grass.  5th when I rejoined, sandwiched between Tony & Maipor.  Tried putting pressure on Tony, but often when you're right behind another car, you lose your overview of the track and make mistakes. Thus ran a bit wide at T1, letting Maipor past.

Next lap I was right behind him & Tony, when they collided in the same turn. Tried to steer clear of them, but grazed Maipor's car as I went past.  Didn't wait, as I didn't think I did anything wrong, but not sure after seeing the replay.  I didn't initiate events, but definitely contributed to them, when I hit Maipor.  Tony, if you feel some form of penalty is appropriate, I'll understand.

Thus 4th, chasing down Franky.  Catching him was one thing; getting past another.  Succeeded, but later lost the position to him again. New chase, but like with Tony, I tended to make mistakes when I got real close, thus handing a gap back to Franky and having to do all the hard work again repeatedly.  With about 3 laps to go, he finally made a mistake in the stadium area, spinning out and handing me 3rd.  Just had to hold it for 3 laps, which I did.  Puzzled when I rounded the final corner, to see Geoffers crawling slowly towards the finish.  Understood after the race, that he was giving me back 2nd, after our earlier contact.  I was disappointed he didn't wait initially, but certainly didn't expect this. VERY gentlemanly of you Geoffers and probably more than called for !!

Too many incidents and too much frustration for it to be a good race, even though I absolutely love these cars.  Commiserations to those who met with misfortune; especially Maipor & Bob, with apologies for the part I may have played in it  Sad

Grats to Ziu on the win and Geoffers for the final podium place.

Cheers,
Erling

He could risk engine problems just if put 9200 rpm and in the replay i not have seen smoke on his rear , for these reason i was thinking about fuel. I sure that Geoffers will say to us.

No, car was mechanically fine, even after a spin into the barriers at the 2nd chicane  Roll Eyes. As Erling said I felt a bit guilty about our coming together earlier in the race & let him have the place back. I didn't consider it was actually my fault as I was fully alongside going into the corner, but Erling probably didn't realise I was there & turned into me & spun out. I like my passes to be clean & this one wasn't so that's why I gave the place back. If I had still been fighting for the lead it may have been a different story!  Cheesy

Had a good race with Ziu until half distance, got ahead but then made a couple of errors which gave Ziu the chance to muscle his way back past. Then made the same mistake 2 laps running by braking too hard for the final double corner & skating onto the grass. A few more errors crept in as the lighter fuel load made the car more reluctant to turn in on the brakes. I'm still struggling to get a decent setup with these cars so that they take a nice line through the corners, always seem to be constantly on & off the throttle & correcting the steering to get the front to grip.

Anyway, congrats to Ziu & Erling  clap clap, cya all at Westwood for the TransAms, much more fun to drive!  Grin
