No worries Erling, I was concerned it was me so had to check the server replay to be sure as I've had a few issues with my (usually rock solid) connection recently. It's a contrast to GPL where cars disappear and then reappear whereas in GTL they seem to stop dead momentarily.

Just as a side note, I also had the issue others are reporting with the dials, I had no needle on the rev counter for either race (Abarth and Mini).

Also I downloaded RRE the other day for a quick look. Seems nice but unfortunately it seems to have blown my logitech profiler up. When I exited RRE after my 1st quick look I found "Logitech profiler has crashed" message and I haven't been able to restart it since. Sad I click on it and it appears in the process list for about 5 seconds and then disappears. I've uninstalled it and tried reinstalling but it seems it has died, so I've downloaded "Joy2key" and have configured my GTL profiles in that. Seem to work as advertised so far but I have to open game controllers when I 1st log on to get windows to recognise my wheel rotation and FFB settings otherwise I'm faced with only 180 degrees of rotation instead of my usual 370.

John, Logitech have an update for the profiler that RRE recommends installing. Maybe this will help?

Needle can be switched on/off by pressing the number key 4 (not numpad). Maybe that fixes it?

Hi Tony,
The update appears to relate to the Logitech Gaming Software not the Logitech Profiler. The gaming software doesn't support the G27 wheel. The latest version of the profiler I could find on the Logitech web site is 5.10 (Which dates back from 2010 and I already had installed). I did try uninstalling and reinstalling but still no joy. It recognises the wheel during initial set up and verifies calibration etc but it will not reach the main profiler screen disappearing from the process list a few seconds after it appears. Although an inconvenience I'm happy to play around with Joytokey for now. I also tried a few others and while I really like Joysticky for example it does not appear to have on the fly profile recognition so you have to tell it what script you want it to run before starting a game.

I don't think the missing needle thing is what you describe. key 4 simply stops the needle animation (At least on my end). On Monday I had no needle graphic at all as far as I can remember just the background numbers etc. (I don't remember if the rev counter dial looked correct or not). It was all ok again when I loaded the cars up off-line after the race.

John, it may be worth your while registering on the RRE Forum. Loads of informative post's. Also you may have missed that RRE has an in-game steering setup screen that you can enter wheel rotation info. You see it at the same time as the car setup screen.

IIRC, I had an 'amputated' needle showing - only the central part, so very difficult to read, as it didn't stretch all the way to the number scale.

Cheers,
Erling
