Championship standings HERE

Grid/server capacity: 20

Track: Zolder '67 Download this

Cars allowed: Pelle B's Mini Carset Download this, Skoda 130RS Download this, Abarth 1000TC

Pelle has provided his Mini car setup here

No car choice restrictions.

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (10 mins)
Race 1: 20:30 (12 laps)

Practice (Car change if wanted): ~20:50 (10 mins)
Qualifying: ~21:00 (10 mins)
Race 2: ~21:10 (12 laps)

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Early race start time.

Hi Tony, re Pelle B's Mini Carset, have I screwed up with this download  Huh ? Only it appears to me to be a skin set for Minis with the same car numbers as  the standard cars; they drive, using the same setups and sound the same as the standard Minis provided with GTL.  Roll Eyes

Yep, but they should look different? e.g. wide wheel arches?

Being a west country lad myself and having even travelled as far as the fringes of Wiltshire when my horse was younger.

I would say that if Bill feels that his health is strong enough to take on Salisbury girls, then he has a reckless regard for his own wellbeing!!!! whistling

Tony  Grin

...maybe a surprise more, I will try to participate in this series  laugh

I have not run GTL in almost a year, so I'm rusty...but I'd love to see how the Mini Cooper can stand against Skoda. Hope of course I can help TEAM-GTLDK some point in this series.
It's not because I've dropped sim racing completely, now go time in the old sim from 1998, Grand Prix Legends. I participate for example in UKGPL, but unfortunately only number 2 in the overall standings...TEAM-GTLDK are ahead of Team Championship  Wink

The history of this Mini Cooper series:
It can be fun with the Mods, but the disadvantage is always people being spread a little more each time. I got the idea, Mini Cooper should be nicer/more fun to look at, but at the same time be completely original.
I threw myself into things I could not solve & had to be helped by GeeDee (Gordon) here from UK. There were things we had to give up, for example, to get the steering wheel on the left side, but it was close to work, there was too much conflict with everything else.
It actually started with the idea to build Italian Job, but there are also some history on the cars, such as the Silver Jubilee 25. The funniest build...a Mini GT40, or went it completely wrong  Wink

My attempt to make it a little more fun to drive Mini...hope you like it  laugh
