Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Early race start time.

Setup help needed:

Have been working on the Skoda for this track and have it close to my times with the Abarth, however my setup has a problem... This track has a lot of those curbs around it as you know and if you just touch one with this car it seems to pitch it into the weeds.  Anyone have any idea how to cure this problem with adjustments or is it just the nature of the Skoda. If anyone has any ideas please PM me or reply here so everyone that tries it can see.  Really would like to put the car to use at Zandy and maybe more in the future.   Thanks ahead of time!

See you all at the track
Bob M.

Bob, if it were me I'd experiment with raising the ride height?

Thanks Tony:
Raised the height 1 click F & B and 1 click more of front springs, made it better.  Just 50% chance of spinning out now.  Mostly from over control on my part.  Will keep after it, maybe get lucky.  Can always go back to the Abarth, just want to see if it can be made competitive for me

I have just tried my Skoda setup from Zolder ( the only race I have managed to join in this series so far! )  and clocked a low 1:42 on race fuel.  Not sure how that compares with the expected pace around here.

For me, it seems quite stable with the only sting being that I have to avoid downshifting too early. That appears to lock up the rear wheels and things get quite exciting in a sideways kind of way  scared

If you want to try it I can upload it to the on-line files for Zandvoort, but a lot of people find my setups a little extreme.  Wink

Would be quite nice and interesting to compare  Cool

Surprisingly I'm quite a bit faster in the Skoda than in the Abarth (using a setup from the Nordschleife), but still some seconds off the pace (1:44.5 to 1:44.9)  Roll Eyes

Thanks for your help and suggestions guy's  Decide to just stick with the Abarth.  Putting 12 laps in the Skoda without clipping a curb just doesn't seem to be possible for me and the risk of a spin.  Not giving up on it though, maybe a track later on will work for me and the Skoda.  Thanks all.
As Kurt said would like to try your set up though if you want to post it.............

I have ( I hope!) just posted my Skoda setup online.

It should be in the Zandvoort67 folder and called Skoda 3.

Thanks Clive - I'll give it try tonight.

Could improve offline to 1:43.6 in a perfect lap (which does not happen too often  Roll Eyes )using my own setup - but Ziu achieved a time under 1:42 when I was online.

Looking forward to tomorrow#s race.

Me too.  Sad The server dropped me twice during qually for the 2nd race.)

The only upside is that I finally managed to join a race in a Mini, plus I actually found out how to drive the stupid little sidewinder !!! Roll Eyes

The start for the 2nd race was like a dream LOL. I carved through a field of almost static minis and was about 4th at T1!! I knew that they would all chew me up later, but it was going to be fun for a lap or two....well it was until all the cars ahead stopped in the middle of the track and I was suddenly 1st................and I knew what was coming  :'( :'( :'(

I was very happy with my Mini setup and after a good start I was able to keep up with the lead pack. Starting lap 2 I was 5th (I think) but at Hugenholtz two cars had a bump and I very narrowly avoided becoming part of the accident. That left me in 2nd with only Clive to catch. However he was to quick to close on and I had further trouble from Navin who was very keen to chase Clive himself. Had 2 laps of give and take with Navin before he managed a successful pass and off he went to join Clive. I was third now with no chance of catching the two guys up the road but with a good enough gap to the drivers behind me to allow me to relax a bit and just concentrate on finishing without throwing the podium place away. Don't often get on the podium so was very pleased.
Race two was tougher as a few more mini's joined the grid. I had a couple of unforced errors and a bump up the chuff so finished further down the field than I expected. Still it was great fun but I'm not sure what I'll be driving at Virosliget.

I'll have to ask around about the dials problem some driver's reported last night. Last night's GTL race was run from a separate install to the '67 F1 one so I don't think that's to blame. I may have to do fresh installs on the server but I'll seek further advice before I make that decision.

Regarding the disco's in Race 2. Gutting when it happens but not much we can do about it. The server settings were unchanged and fortunately we don't get them often. Never the less, I do sympathise with the drivers who suffered a loss of connection.

Nice to have Roger back and it was a pleasant suprise to see Navin who hasn't raced here for over four years. He hasn't got slower unfortunately  Wink
