Indeed it works - but for me it is completely not understandable  Huh I'm not at all a modder and/or skinner but I had a different understanding of matters.
It would mean that with a change of graphics to maximum you can possibly override a faulty "file structure".
Anyway thanks for help guys.  Smiley

@ Tony: no, there are only three cars with wheel style 4 but there is another wheel style very similar (I'm not at home, so I cannot check)

Kurt, maybe the explanation is that the game uses different files depending on the selected level of detail, and only 'Full' is working.  I work as a Systems Developer (Programmer) myself, and I can assure you it wouldn't be the first time in the history of software, that only one variant was tested, and the other ones assumed to be working too...  Wink

Would like to stress that I'm just guessing though  Smiley

Just found the patch at NG - I think that's the solution (explained in papag21's description) but it seems that this patch was not included in v1.1 of the M1 mod (I'll check tonight)

Either use the Nogrip link above or this'n http://www.mediafire.com/download/15g2qvay9m3fnb9/PROCAR_M1_WHEELS.GTL

And overwrite the original file found In GameData/Teams/GTC-TC-76/BMW M1 Procar

Installed the patch as directed and now it does not crash with the black 41 no matter what I use for video levels.  Thanks a lot!!!!
