Can you take the AI performance as a guide to which cars are faster than others?

I'm hoping to try out all the cars for Monaco, so that I have my own pecking order, but given the driver and the track that may be skewed in favour of which ones are easier to drive rather than quickest.

You can but nothing compares to driving them all yourself. Perhaps watching the AI can help rule out some of the cars?
