Still not in shape for racing, guys.  Sad Have to miss this one too wheelchair
See you next week - have fun !

If it’s the same flu I had it lasts about two weeks, I’ve still got the cough as a reminder.

I had to miss this week’s race (the third race running) because of gout in the big toe of my throttle foot. My first ever attack. I used to think it was funny I think because of cartoons of boozy old Colonel’s in bath chairs with their foot bandaged up.  wheelchair  I happen to be a very light alcohol drinker so it’s not that. When I told friends why I couldn’t take part in my usual activities the most common reaction was to laugh, then apologise and say they heard it was painful and were sure it isn’t funny. I would confirm that. The Doc put me on tablets and a diet. I looked in my freezer. It’s stocked full of foods that are strict No No’s for gout sufferers.  Things like oily fish etc. to keep the joints working well. I think that’s taking the Mick.

I notice my practice times for the F1 race at Monaco were not as bad as I feared. I think I was a bit put off by the aliens. I now look forward to taking part in the next race if the gout clears up and I can avoid viruses and don’t get struck by a falling meteorite.  scared

For the second week running St Devote was my undoing. I thought that again someone had hit me from behind & spun me around, but having watched the replay it was more my fault this time. I hadn't realised that De Martini was alongside me into the corner & I turned in across his nose which turned my car around.

Watching the replay i feel i'm in part responsible, i should have consider there was no much room for everyone at that moment. I didn't wait for you because i thought that it wasn't me who made you spin, sorry... Embarrassed

Just a racing incident. I knew there was a car to my left, just did not realise you were on the right otherwise I would have tried to give you room.

Moreover, i noticed that something was wrong when i saw the engine health in red numbers, i knew at that moment that i couldn't make it til the checkered flag, Darío

One note Dario: I believe engine health turns red when you get to 20% or below, but you can keep going right till it shows 0%, so red numbers in themselves are not a guarantee you won't make it.

Cheers,
Erling
