I happy for my race but for the first time since i m driving POOL1 car i felt all the difference of power among POOL1 POOL2 and POOL3. In fact Silverstone it s a power track for traction and speed. If some one say that I won with 32 seconds on MaiPor it s a mistake. I won because i found the perfect or almost perfect setup for Ferrari here. To confirm that enough see Erling laps time. Erling it s strong driver enough see standings for see but for the first time he meeting some difficult with POOL1 here.

About MaiPor, he had a great setup with only defect, the gear setup. Mai if you go on replay onboard to my car you can hear when i change gear and when you change gear, so if you choice to use short gears in this moment we talked about another race. But you just watch replay.

I repeat always however that for win need push as hammer so what i wrote up here it s theory.

I builded my Pole and my race between Club corner and Woodcote, my Ferrari was perfect here until the start straight. After need power, in fact i never earned before Stowe, just I have taken advantage of the smoothness of Ferrari and for get it i used rear anti-rollbar hard.

I think that if Evil and MaiPor dont mistake on the first laps, honestly i dont know where i could pass.

I like these track but i dont understood why poleman have start on internal line Huh,for me it s wronged. I dont mistake my start but i lost 2 places because Ferrari power and start line................

After what i saw here i think that in Monza i dont have any possibility to win and maybe to take podium. Monza corners almost same of Silverstone corners but Too long straights and few corners in Monza.

About championship i dont see so much it, yesterday i pushed all race without any calculations. It was a true pleasure to have my tyres at the right temperature always and little consumption. Bugatti has been a nightmare for tyres !!!!! In Silvesrtone i could get a good job with setup because tyres always perfect, just i hope will go so also on the Nordschleife the next race.....I dont know but it would nice to go under 8 minutes Grin, but we will see not possible know now.

Concluding Grats all and big thanks to Tony one for organization second because every time i send to him a private message he answer to me immediately and with very patience. Thanks Tony for these disposability.

Silverstone is a popular track, but never really a favorite of mine.  Struggled to find any form of consistency here in offline practice - I would do a fast lap (well, fast for me..), only to be completely incapable of repeating it for the next many laps.

Aside from my grid position, I was happy with qualifying, as I knocked an unlikely 0.5 sec off my pb.  Still haven't mastered getting off the line, and lost a position to Kurt. Didn't matter much though, as he slid off on cold tyres a few corners later.  Thus with Clive L's noshow, I was up to 4th.  Cars behind me dropped back already on L1, and I never saw them again.

Thus the entire race was one long, hard, but nondescript chase of Clive.  Whenever I get close to another car, I tend to fall back again, partly from lifting off and braking earlier, to make sure I don't rearend the car in front, and partly from getting my lines wrong, when too much attention is focused on the car in front.  Thus not able to pass Clive, who held under the pressure I tried to assert on him, and I finished in the 4th place I had been the entire race.

Grats to the podium and commiserations to all the casualties.  Thanks to Tony for organizing.

Cheers,
Erling

Hi Will, the next Monday's race is a two heat race and hence, even if your not interested in this Series it will give you two chances to log on to our server by copying the track and a couple of car sets.

Our website is currently setup for this race and will give you plenty of opportunity to try and sort out your program.  (Note on certain days it will change to an alternative SROU simulator format practice/qualifying/race and not be available to GTL.) Tony is the best person to advise on setting up GTL to the lobby we use.

Yes.

Don't ask me which ones they were but they were not the usual ones with a red segment on the rev counter.

Thanks Clive. I wonder if the dials can be seen from the replay. Anyhow I'll let the mods know.

First off big welcome to Will, good to see another country man in the field.  When you get all set up you will find a great bunch of guys on the track!!!!
The race didn't go as planned as usual, in a collision on lap 1 at the end of the long straight.  Car was still running so changed the view and saw all 4 wheels on the car.  Too stubborn to quit so made for the pits and got repairs to suspension.  Mostly just drove the track and saw a few cars along the way but was a couple of laps down so just tried to stay out of the way.  Made it until around L25 or so and then car started acting funny.  Looking back I should have put on new tires, maybe they were injured  in the wreck some.  Any way didn't brake soon enough for the last turn and went into the wall.  After that just hit the ESC and watched the rest of the race from the pits. Gonna finish one of these races yet, odds are in my favor I think!

Thanks All
Bob M.

Hi Will .... go to your GT Legends folder, scroll down and remove or delete the line   LOCAL_IP_LOBBY.TXT   launch GTL go to multiplayer then internet, try to connect if you get   login failed invalid username/password   register with a new username and password then connect, in lobby look down list and you will see     Simracing.org.uk Mondays   you will be able to join using the correct practice or race password.

Roger, I think to register for the first time you have to fill in the Steam GTL purchase code to show you are using a valid copy of GTL. I did do it that way originally but in one of those lock up situations I had to re-register and used my original disc online code for speed and convenience.

Hi Bill .... yes you could be right. For me after i had used serial on steam, i removed lobby text and just had to register with new name and password, hopefully Will can try both ways and get on line okay, and you are right Tony is the expert on all things GTL.

Tony last night dash was correct.

Race early on went off and damaged car now had worse cornering than when i started, Bob M when you came out of pits you left me, kept looking in mirrors expecting to see you catch me, lonely race for me and lucky to get 5th due to others misfortunes.

Did as instructed... but now I can't even connect to servers. Thanks for your efforts... and I will keep trying to figure this out. Let me know if you have any more ideas.

Hi Will did you 1 remove lobby text 2 register with new name and password 3 did you enter your correct email, at bottom of screen did it say  playernameneverused ? did you click on login or click on the big arrow right of screen ? let us know and what screen you got next.

Quote   3.Launch GTL
4.Go to Multiplayer->Internet and click Register. Select a different Username and Password than your old one. Click the arrow (not login button) to register. If you don't get "Registration Successful" at first, try a few different usernames/passwords.
5.When you have registered successfully, you will be taken to the login screen. It will still show your old Simbin Username so you first have to replace it with your new Username and Password. If you login successfully you should then log into the Altbierbude lobby.
6.If it didn't work, try to register with a new username
