Practice: 19:45 GMT (30 mins)
Qual 2: 20:15 (15 mins)
Race: 20:30 ~ 30 Mins

Cars allowed: Any car from "GTR3" class
Track: Nurburgring GP
Time of Day Setting: Afternoon
Weather: Dry

Start: Standing
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: OFF
Pit-stops: None required

Server: Simracing.org.uk E1GT3

Championship Standings

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro track pack for this series
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Hoping that all goes well this time and my connection remains good to the server. Done some practice and the track is enjoyable to drive so looking forward to the race.

Had a quick run at the leaderboard this morning and it's very tough to put in fast consistent laps here with so many places to lose/gain time (for me at least). It's a great way to prep for a race though as you can see the strengths/weaknesses of other cars as you follow them and how you can use that in the race.

http://game.raceroom.com/leaderboard/?track=1691&car_class=class-1703&driving_model=2

Hope we have a strong turnout for this one. MJ if you're reading this you really ought to try the GT3 Ruf. It's an absolute no-brainer for any racing Porsche fan.

I'm going to try and give this another go, having cleaned out my pedals.

Bit frustrating that none of the GT3 cars in the car pack are usable even though the GTR3 class is GT3's Roll Eyes

Yes I know. You do only have to buy a "skin" from the GTR3 pack if you've already bought one of the ADAC packs which contains the same car.

There is a competition just started where you can drive any of the GTR3 cars at Zolder if you want some extended testing with all the garage and setup options that you don't get with the "Test Drive". Might be useful to choose the car you prefer and don't forget to give that Ruf a drive as it's fantastic  wub

I was on the server earlier with Joel and my car was flickering or disappearing on his screen again Angry

Weird thing is his car was perfectly fine on my screen and if he used the plus and minus keys on the number pad to change his primary camera on to my car it re appeared or stopped flickering completely too. I tried re testing after switching off opponent cockpits and reducing visible cars, neither worked? Maybe it is somehow linked to my refresh rate being set to 144hz? Was looking forward to the race tomorrow but seems like maybe R3E and multiplayer may have to go on hold until they sort out problems in my case.

How do you post your laptimes?

From this page just click launch event and it will fire up Raceroom. When you have set a clean lap it will show your position on the hud. When you exit the game refresh the leaderboard page and you'll see your position on the list.

We've had this before. A driver (Anty I think) was flickering at our Portimao event in practice but when he rejoined he was fine. I'll jump on the server now for half an hour if you're around to try it again.

So after some more testing this afternoon on the server with Joel i still have not been able to track down the cause of my problems. Every time i join the server we can do about a lap together with everything nice and stable and then my car starts to flicker and soon disappears completely.

I tried changing refresh rate, graphics settings, deleting my user profile and starting from scratch, verifying steam cache, adjusting settings in catalyst control centre, resetting my firewall rules, none worked. I would rule out my anti virus as Joel runs the same O/S as me and also uses the same A/V and his connection is rock solid. We both used wired connections too so no differences there. Also tried it out on some other servers beside the UK GTR one, again no different.

Looks like i am out for the time being, at least until the next game patch. Maybe that will solve my woes? My graphics card is not 100% anymore, occasionally it artifacts or shows rainbow textures, could that be related to the problem? Over on the S3 forum i submitted my log from the previous race and a dev said there was a large time difference between my computer and the server.

Not a clue what's causing that Jayblue but I hope it's something that can be sorted soon. You're welcome to try it this evening and see how it goes....we'll shout up if it happens.

Sounds more like a connection issue between you and the server tbh, cant beleive it would be your PC. Sounds like something that happend in the past, i remember with GTR2, it might just need you to reconnect to the server.

Or your provider... If the packets dont get between you and the server then it might mean it doesnt know where you car is so it will just not show it?

Are you with the same providers? run a packet trace and see if there going similar routes? Maybe provider is blocking things, slowing theings down?

Just saying it could be many things, YOur PC is pretty dumb with these things and relys on the network to tell it everything, where the cars are, what they are etc
